Set within 2 acres of its own woodland, the accommodation is studio style and comprises a bedroom, an open plan living space with a kitchenette, and a stunning large modern bath and shower room.

The space is situated in this secluded, fully secure, gated property. A tranquil country environment presenting the perfect urban escape destination or simply a quiet stopover point whilst touring the Highlands and Lowlands of Scotland.

For the Business People, peace & quiet, fresh coffee, executive chairs, a comfortable work station with infinity broadband, plus, if BT lets us down, there is a 4G mast nearby, less than 2 miles off the M74 only 25minutes from the centre of Glasgow.

For the Urban Getaway People, The Retreat offers a safe and secure countryside environment with a covered balcony for alfresco dining along with an outdoor chill-out seating area complete with barbeque and fire pit all coupled with an indoor quirky opulent space which includes a king-size bedroom and one of the most luxurious bathrooms north of the border :).

Why they chose this property

Having spent my working life in and around the London Metropolis, upon retirement, the idea of surrounding myself in the peace and quiet of a woodland in the countryside held massive appeal.
When meeting my wife 12 years ago I was introduced to the space which I am now offering to others to share with the certainty that they will enjoy and appreciate it as much as I.

Set in the Scottish Lowlands, the Safe Haven Retreat is extremely accessible, a mere 2 miles off the M74 and only 10 miles from the ancient historic town of Lanark, local to the New Lanark World Heritage UNESCO site and the Scottish Wildlife Trust Waterfall Walk. It is also just moments from the Clyde Walkway, a splendid, waterside cycle and walking route which runs along the River Clyde, from Glasgow to New Lanark, South Lanarkshire.
With fast access to both Glasgow and Edinburgh along with their associated airports, The Retreat is found at the gateway to both the Lowlands and Highlands of Scotland with Loch Lomond a mere 50 miles away.
