This Shepherds Hut in Charlton Musgrove, near Bruton is as traditional as they get! It's simple, cosy and relaxing. It’s the perfect hideout for those needing an escape the everyday hustle and bustle. Guest can bring 1 tent for accommodation for children at a cost of 10GBP per night

Our Shepherds Hut is positioned in a field with far reaching views over beautiful Somerset countryside. It is off grid, telephone charging and Wi Fi are available in our restaurant.

On site is an award winning farm shop and as aforementioned a restaurant specializing in local and where possible home grown produce. The restaurant does pop up evenings but generally is closed during the evening. We produce BBQ packs and Charcuterie packs available to preorder for you stay. The shop also has a fantastic selection of local Beers, Ciders and hand selected wines from Europe and the new world.



To make your stay even more relaxing, you can enjoy the onsite private hot tub.


As a self-catering cabin, you'll find everything you need for a perfect stay.
The kitchenette has a fridge, a hob and a kettle.


There is one bedroom in this cabin which contains a double bed.


There is one bathroom, which has a toilet and sink and a walk-in shower.


Linen and towels are all included to make your stay more enjoyable.

Magical Shepards hut with wood fire hottub

Lovely and quiet with Somerset farm. With nearby cafe and farm shop. Excellent hosts and very comfy. Watched the stars at night in the hot tub whilst reminiscing over wedding anniversary. Good value and quain.

Beautiful, perfect weekend

Absolutely stunning hut, very clean and tidy. Very private and relaxing. Hot tub was lovely. The bed has got to be the most comfortable bed I’ve ever stayed in while away. Highly recommend. Definitely be booking to go again. Exactly what I needed for a perfect weekend break.

Was lovely to stay here.

Was a bit tricky to find as the farm shop was closed and we couldn't get in. Also the hot tub wasn't set up so took ages to get going. But the hosts were very friendly and helpful and helped us set up and made sure we had everything we needed. Electric was limited so had to be careful with using the lights for too long. Buy was overall really fun, setting fires, sat under the stars and being with the sheep. We really did enjoy ourselves and had a lovely holiday!

Amazing end to a busy week

My partner and I arrived at the hut after a very busy week. We cooked tea and ate while the hot tub fired up. We saw in the next day chatting laughing, star gazing and drinking a few beers in the amazing hot tub. The hut inside was so cosy. This place has become our new HAPPY place.

Beautiful

Beautiful shepherds hut with amazing views and a lovely quirky farm shop /restaurant on site. Very private and secluded . Owner was very friendly and accomodating. No electricity and the solar lights didnt last long so you are definitely "off grid". Perfect to escape from it all for a day or two, spend time star gazing and relaxing in the very hot wood fired tub, just allow plenty of time to get it going and it will stay hot for hours
