Situated on a pretty lane in one of the more secluded parts of rural Jersey and just a 15-minute walk to beautiful 5-mile St Ouen's beach - these 2-bedrooms and self-catering kitchen provide a peaceful hideaway where you can "get away from it all".
The Property:
On the ground floor level is a modern fully equipped kitchen with oven, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine with dryer and Nespresso coffee machine. The kitchen has a dining table to seat 5 as well as a small computer/writing desk.
The 2 double bedrooms are upstairs. One has a standard double bed and a seating area for 4, the other has 2 single beds which can be zipped together to make a superking size double on request. A single folding camp bed and a cot are also available on request. Both rooms have built in wardrobes / drawers and lovely views over surrounding countryside.
Also upstairs is the bathroom with its separate walk-in power shower cubicle, full length bath, washbasin, WC and heated towel rail.
The property has its own entrance and forms part of a series of neighbouring historic granite buildings surrounding a shared parking area. There is an allocated parking space for 1 car directly beside the entrance.
The Neighbourhood:
The property is situated in St Ouen's parish in the north-west of Jersey, among a network of tranquil green-lanes that provide plenty of opportunity to walk, cycle or horse-ride away from the busier main roads.
The local area is primarily agricultural with most fields planted with Jersey Royals (the island's famous potato) or home to Jersey cows and racehorses (the island's racecourse is nearby).
Jersey's scenic cliff paths, the nearby surfing beaches of St Ouen's Bay and Plenmont Bay as well as Grosnez Castle, German military bunkers / towers and various historic dolmen are all within a 30 minute walk.
St Ouen's village with its two local supermarkets, pharmacy, ATM and filling station is a 5 minute drive, the airport 15 minutes drive and the main town of St Helier (and the ferry terminal) a 20 minute drive away.
Getting Around:
A car is highly recommended as the easiest way to get to / from the property and to explore the island. There is off-street parking for 1 car right outside. The nearest filling station and electric vehicle fast-charging point is 1 mile away.
Bus Stop "Millais", on Route 8, is a 5 minute walk from the house - this has services every 1-2 hours during the day to/from St Helier via St Ouen's village. Bus Stop "Mont Huelin", on Route 22, is a 10 minute walk - this has services every hour during the day to/from St Helier via St Brelade. Liberty Bus website provides schedules for these routes and onward connections.
I can provide details of local taxi firms who can quote for individual journeys or specialist tours.
I also have contact details for a local bike rental business. Bicycles are great for exploring the immediate area but unless you are a keen road cyclist you will probably find it too long a journey to cycle to the island's main attractions and towns.
