About this property

Great townhouse on the NC500 route

The Old Library is situated in the heart of the charming seaside town of Brora. This historic three storey stone house retains many original features. It has been lovingly restored and is very attractively presented throughout. It accommodates up to six guests, with two bathrooms.
The main living room on the first floor is of historic and cultural interest. As the meeting room for the town library, the public meeting to agree the formation of the now renowned championship Brora golf course was held here in 1891. With its high ceilings, superb original fireplace, deep comfortable sofas and Harris tweed soft furnishings, it emits a relaxing and luxurious ambience. The original wood flooring throughout the house adds to the charm. Brora is also situated on the John o Groats trail, which follows the coast for miles and provides superb walks with the chance to spot seals, dolphins and numerous bird life along the way. Old Library
We really enjoyed our stay. Worked great and the fireplace helped immensely during Storm Babet!

Excellent family holiday home
The Old Library is a lovely house for a family of upto 6 people. Excellent location including the beautiful beach nearby. Comfortable and clean. It would have been helpful if the washing machine was a washer dryer so that you could dry clothes in wet weather when you couldn’t hang them out. Otherwise there was everything needed for a good family holiday.

Spacieux, Pratique, conforme à l'annonce
Super séjour, the old library nous a ravis...

The Old Library Brora
We had a great week staying in the Old Library. A perfect location for exploring the local area and further beyond. The house is very well equipped and everything you need is nearby - shops, restaurants and cafes. A great place to stay for a family holiday.
