The whole experience was fantastic and the host was right at the end of communication whene needed.
Loved the place, shower was the best l’ve ever had in all my stays. The hot tub was so therapeutic especially the powerful massage l got from it having driven from Surrey. The whole experience and stay was top notch. Didn’t find any restaurants nearby which is not the host responsibility.

Excellent Accommodation
This is the 2nd time we have visited but under new owners. Can honestly say that the communication from Zoe was brilliant. All texts and emails I sent were answered very quickly. Updating us and keeping us informed of local places to visit, directions and a lovely welcome pack of chocolates, milk, juice and tea and coffee etc was waiting for us... Lovely thought to walk into. Heating on , towels, extra bits in the food cabinet and all you need for washing up. The whole place was immaculately clean and comfortable and the hot tub is an amazing extra. Have to try it. Even on a chilly day. Will definitely be returning for maybe even longer break. Thanks for the loan of your beautiful home. X

About the host

Hosted by Zoe and James Gilding

Host profile image
We are Zoe and James and we have two boys Joshua (who is a teenager) and Kai (who thinks he's a teenager) together we run Willow Forest Says our family-run business. We currently manage two properties Woodland Barn and Casita Lodge.

Our story began in 2010 when we found ourselves picking our way through the rubble at an old stables and hayloft. It was in need of renovating, as soon as we looked up and saw the River Severn snaking through the valley we fell in love. One of us (we can't remember who) said "wouldn't this make a great holiday let" and the rest, as they say, is history.... I was just about to have Kai and ready for a career change - running Woodland Barn gave me the flexibility I needed while the boys were young.
Fast forward ten years and James and I visited a 200 year old miners cottage in a lovely peaceful location that is in need of a little renovating and some TLC... at the bottom of the garden is a converted annexe, a well-appointed holiday-let called Napier Lodge... well, how could we refuse... and just like that we founded Willow Forest Stays.
