Casita Lodge | Hot tub Stay for two in the Forest of Dean

Casita Lodge is a romantic hot tub stay for two, set in a peaceful square opposite St John’s Church on the edge of town in the Forest of Dean.



A lovely choice for anniversaries, birthdays or simply a few quiet days away together, Casita is close to the South Wales and Herefordshire borders and tucked between the Rivers Severn and Wye. It’s an easy base for woodland walks, viewpoints, riverside places, local experiences and slower time together.



Inside the Lodge



Casita has a warm, open-plan living space made for easy stays for two.



There’s comfortable seating, Smart TV and Wi-Fi, with a log burner for cooler days and a fleece blanket ready for a quiet evening in with a film, a book or a cup of tea.



The kitchen is well equipped for simple meals, whether you’re making breakfast before heading out or putting something together in the evening. It looks onto the enclosed courtyard garden, and the dining area is a relaxed spot for a late breakfast, dinner for two or a quiet drink at the end of the day.



The bedroom is calm and comfortable, with soft linens and dimmable lighting. The en-suite has a rain-head shower, ideal for a slow start in the morning or a warm rinse after a day exploring the Forest.



Your Private Outdoor Space



The enclosed courtyard garden gives you your own private space throughout your stay.



There’s outdoor seating for morning coffee, a BBQ for easy meals outside and a private hot tub prepared ready for your arrival.



After a day out, it’s a lovely place to come back to for a quiet evening, something to drink and a soak under the stars.



The Forest of Dean



Casita Lodge is set on the edge of town, with the main woodland areas around a five-minute drive away. A car is recommended for making the most of the Forest of Dean and Wye Valley.



The area is known for ancient woodland, lakeside paths, river views and scenic viewpoints, with plenty to enjoy throughout the year.



You can spend your days walking, cycling, canoeing, taking a scenic drive or simply finding somewhere quiet to stop for a while.



There’s plenty of local history too, with heritage railways, mines and caves, wildlife experiences, nature reserves, local crafts and outdoor activities both above and below ground.



You’ll also find plenty of places to eat nearby, from relaxed pub meals and cosy cafés to afternoon teas and restaurants for something a little more special.



For a special evening in, Harts Barn Cookery School offers a hire-a-chef service. Guests can arrange this directly with Harts Barn, agreeing a menu in advance before the chef and waiting staff come to Casita to cook and serve your meal in the lodge.



Further Afield



If you fancy a different kind of day out, Bristol, Cheltenham Spa, Hereford, Cardiff and the Cotswolds are all around an hour’s drive from Casita Lodge.



The nearest beach is Porthcawl, around 1 hour 30 minutes away, with coastal walks and views across Rest Bay and Pink Bay.



Good to Know

We like to keep our pricing simple and transparent, so there are no extra booking fees, damage deposits or hot tub fees. The price you see includes everything.



A car is strongly recommended. There are a few places within walking distance, but many of the Forest’s lovelier walks, viewpoints, places to eat and days out are a short drive away..
