We loved everything about this apartment! And having A/C in Portugal in summer is an excellent feature (one that many other rentals lack). I strongly recommend it for any couple staying in Guimaraes. The hostess, Sonya, was very sweet and helpful.

The apartment was surprisingly quiet considering its location. Everything you could want is close by. Restaurants cafes stores and supermarkets. A great place to venture out from on foot. Aside from authetic Portugal experience we also enjoyed a Michelin star restaurant! We only made use of street parking... We only had to pay in the morning starting at 8:30, while we found breakfast. Then we would take the car out during the day... And we had to pay for parking when we came back until 7:30 PM. This worked for us and our schedule but there is a parking garage very close by.There is a good flight of stairs to get up to the apartment. There is a bus stop just outside the front door so there are always people around. We could not hear any of this from our apartment.We enjoyed our stay in Guimaraes very much! Our host, Sonia was very helpful and easy to communicate with.
