Elegant home in rural Piedmont - private pool- sauna and hot tub

Feel welcome to what we consider to be the most hospitable region in Italy: Piedmont. The region of wine, truffles, and the Slow Food movement—surrounded by mountains, cultural highlights, and close to the Ligurian coast. A region that inspires both an active and relaxing escape from everyday life. We were humbled to purchase this house in 2018 and have since carefully renovated (or rebuilt :) it into what it is today: a family home with a private pool and beautiful outdoor areas.

The house consists of two attached buildings: the main house and the hay barn, which has been converted into the living room (accessible through the kitchen). If you rent the house for up to 4 people (plus 1 child), you’ll have access to the house through the living room and will have 2 bedrooms, a kitchen, and a large living room (48sm) at your disposal, as well as the entire outdoor area (pool, trampoline, and two seating areas). If you rent the house with more than 5 people (up to 8), you’ll also have the 2 bedrooms and an additional bathroom on the ground floor at your disposal (4 bedrooms in total). You’ll always have the property all to yourselves! The house has been thoughtfully designed with modern art, and we’ve emphasised the reuse of materials to ensure a sustainable renovation that blends with the rural surroundings. The house is located in Pamparato, a beautiful small village near Mondovi (25 minutes by car). You’ll find the house in the village valley—not entirely secluded—so you can experience local Italian life. Our countryside retreat is ideal for those who enjoy relaxing in a beautifully designed and comfortable setting, where many of the highlights of the Piedmont region are within 30 minutes to an hour’s reach. We provide two electric mountain bikes with your stay, and more can be rented in the village of Serra di Pamparato.

The house is easy to reach and is not in a secluded area; even in winter, the roads are easily accessible. Private parking for 2 cars is available on our property. It’s important to note that you’ll need a car to get around. You can shop for groceries just 5 minutes from our house, and there are also quite a few restaurants in the immediate vicinity that offer good food at excellent prices.

We often fly to Turin or Genoa and can then reach our house in 1 hour and 15 minutes (from Turin) or 1 hour and 30 minutes (from Genoa). The Ligurian coast (places like Finale Ligure, Noli, Cele Ligure, and Spotorno) is all within about an hour’s drive from our house. The ski slopes are also very close by. The San Giacomo ski slopes are extremely close to our home, and within 30 minutes of our home, you’ll have access to the Mondole ski area, which features 105 kilometres of slopes in a truly Italian atmosphere. For guests who enjoy culinary delights, the University of Gastronomic Sciences in Pollenza is located one hour away from us, and excellent wineries—perfect for those who prefer traditional Piedmontese wines such as Barolo and Dolcetto—are also within an hour’s drive. Cities like Turin, Cuneo, and Genoa are sure to satisfy those who wish to immerse themselves in Italian culture.

The pool is not heated (as of yet), but since we have a cover and a deck, swimming will be possible from May through October. It is a saltwater pool measuring 8 by 4 metres.
