Well-built new house, tastefully decorated and comfortably furnished, with large garden making it quiet and private. Fast, free Wi-fi. Sleeps 6 in three bedrooms, two twin-bedded and one large double. Two bathrooms with baths and showers (one en-suite). Open plan spacious living/dining area with well-equipped kitchen. throughout. Roof terrace with great views of the sea and the mountains. Lots of outside space, large barbecue area and L-shaped veranda ideal for relaxing in the sun or the shade - breakfast with the sunrise, dinner with the sunset.

Nice and relaxing

My wife and I enjoyed the stay. It is very calm and relaxing. The beach is just a 10min walk away. Margarida was very supportive and helped us with all questions we had.

Very nice house, good location near to the beach and restaurants. We had a late check out for free, Margarida were very helpful in all our requests. Just a small remark, we should have toilet papper and trash bags available.

Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Aufenthalt in der Unterkunft auf Porto Santo. Die Lage ist ideal: In nur 10–15 Minuten ist man am Strand, ein kleiner Supermarkt mit allem Notwendigen liegt direkt in der Nähe, ebenso einige Restaurants und Imbisse. Trotz der ruhigen Umgebung eignet sich das Haus perfekt als Ausgangspunkt, um die Insel zu erkunden. Das Zentrum von Vila Baleira ist in gut 30 Minuten zu Fuß erreichbar.Die Unterkunft selbst ist sehr geräumig und bestens ausgestattet – es fehlt an nichts. Besonders gefallen hat uns die Dachterrasse mit schönem Meerblick sowie der gepflegte Garten, in dem wir die Abende genießen konnten. Der Gärtner war zudem ausgesprochen freundlich und aufmerksam.Wie auf der Insel üblich, gibt es aufgrund des Klimas einige Insekten wie Ameisen, die sich aber mit etwas Sauberkeit gut im Griff halten lassen und unseren Aufenthalt nicht gestört haben.Ein besonderer Dank gilt Magderida, die uns sehr herzlich empfangen hat. Auch ohne Portugiesischkenntnisse konnten wir uns problemlos verständigen und haben uns sofort willkommen gefühlt.Insgesamt eine absolut empfehlenswerte Unterkunft für einen entspannten Urlaub auf Porto Santo.

Casa numa zona muito tranquila.O melhor é ter carro pois fica um pouco isolada do centro mas era o que procurávamos. Limpa e bem equipada. A Margarida é super acessível e muito simpática. Voltaremos de certeza.

Localização muito boa e excelente atenção da D. Margarida.Pontos menos bons a limpeza da casa era superficial e máquina da loiça estava entupida e alagou a cozinha.Pontos fracos os quartos individuais tem uns colchões muito maus e as camas são muito pequenas. Se essa situação fosse resolvida a casa era excelente!

Un séjour formidable !

C'est la deuxième année consécutive que nous louons cette très belle maison d'architecte à Porto Santo ! Comme l'an dernier, tout nous a semblé parfait : maison impeccable, située dans une zone calme, décorée avec beaucoup de goût, très confortable avec des ventilateurs de plafond dans les pièces, très appréciables étant donné la chaleur en journée sur l'île... Et quel plaisir de profiter de la vue panoramique dans la fraîcheur du soir sur la terrasse à l'étage ! La plage est seulement à une vingtaine de minutes à pied, une petite virée que tout le monde appréciait chaque matin ! Nous avons retrouvé avec beaucoup de plaisir notre gérante, Dona Margarida, qui nous a accueillis chaleureusement. Nous recommandons vivement cette maison dans laquelle d'ailleurs nous ne manquerons pas de retourner ! Un grand merci à Dona Margarida !

Séjour exceptionnel !

Nous avons été très bien accueillis par Mme Andrade ! La maison est impeccable ! Nous ne pouvions rêver mieux ! Très confortable et très fonctionnelle, on y a trouvé tout ce dont nous avions besoin pour vivre au quotidien ! Située à 5 minutes à pied du centre commercial où l'on peut faire des courses dans une supérette et acheter le pain dans une bonne boulangerie viennoiserie, elle n'est également qu'à 10 min à pied de la plage. Nous adorons marcher et avons, en outre, trouvé cela très agréable d'aller en une bonne demi- heure au centre-ville à pied. Nous réserverons sans nul doute cette maison à nouveau et recommandons vivement la location !

Margarida top👍🏻 Haus kleine Abstriche!

Die Lage war für uns perfekt!!! Ruhe, Ruhe, Ruhe! Die Entfernung zum Strand und Centrum völlig okay! Margarida ( die gute „Fee“ der Villa) total herzlich und immer erreichbar! 🤗 Die Dachterrasse…. wirklich toll, leider fehlten dort Möbel (haben wir von unten nach oben getragen) Nun zu den erwähnten Abstrichen: Ja, das Haus hat fast alles was man braucht aber leider nicht alles perfekt. Besser wäre in der Küche wenn alles 1x in guter Qualität, als mehrfach instabil vorhanden wäre. (Töpfe, Geschirr, Kochutensilien….) Die Küche war für uns leider der Schwachpunkt im Haus. Außerdem könnten auch mal neue Gartenmöbel (u.a. mit Stuhlauflagen) angeschafft werden. Und auch Plastiktischdecken finden wir unschön, da gibt es bessere Lösungen! Man darf das nicht falsch verstehen….. Wir hatten einen schönen Urlaub und werden bestimmt auch mal wiederkommen. Nochmals ein ganz liebes Dankeschön an Margarida!!!! Liebe Grüße Anja & Thomas

Erholsamer Urlaub

Wir haben uns sehr gut erholt in diesem schönen Haus. Es liegt ideal,denn ein kleiner Supermarkt ist in der Nähe und der Strand ist schnell zu Fuß zu erreichen. Auch die Stadt ist in 30 Minuten zu Fuß zu erreichen. Man benötigt also kein Auto. Die wenigen Flugzeuge, die Auf Porto Santo landen sind kein Problem, obwohl der Flughafen sehr nahe ist. Für weniger als 10 € kann man per Taxi zum Haus gelangen. Margarida ist eine sehr nette Vermieterin. Sie brachte uns sogar einen Strandschirm als wir danach fragten. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Perfect spot

Margarida is a great host helps you settle in on arrival and then leaves you too it. She arranged an early arrival as we came by ferry from Funchal in the morning. The house was spotless and everything as it appears on the website. Perfect peaceful location but within a 15 minute walk downhill to the beach with a few restaurants! Also a very little supermarket nearby! Would highly recommend this house, sitting on the terrace watching the ocean is a delight .

I have been visiting Porto Santo for over 20 years - and love it! All year round it has so much to offer, a complete contrast to the noise and bustle of city life in England. I come here to relax and enjoy the sunshine, the beach, the hospitality and the many other activities. I hope hope you will, too.

Why they chose this property

I wanted a holiday home which could be shared with others, so my architect designed a spacious, comfortable villa to accommodate six people easily. I have furnished and equipped it to a high standard and have a large collection of books as well as a wide selection of TV channels and excellent fibre-optic wi-fi.

What makes this property unique

The views, the birdsong, the leafy surroundings and the quiet location are all delightful, but the really special thing is the view of the sea and the nearness of the beautiful beach (as well as the bars and restaurants!).

The wonderful property manager speaks excellent English and Portuguese and really enjoys welcoming guests to this beautiful island and looking after them during their stay.
