Golfers can enjoy an inspiring golf experience each time they play the breathtaking 18-hole championship course. One of Pete Dye's masterpieces, the 6,397, par 72 layout features severe mounding reinforced with railroad ties, steeply contoured greens, and deep bunkers. Further down the road is tubing down the Salt River. Rent a tube and cool off as you float for 2-4 hours on the Salt River. Saguaro Lake and Marina is a 20 minute drive throught the Usery Mtn State Forest area. Have lunch or go for a Dinner cruise. Canyon Lake, Apache Lake, and Roosevelt Lake are all 1/2 day drives that provide great "lunch and relax" excursion opportunities. 20 minutes from the airport, 15 into Scottsdale, and 25-30 into downtown Phoenix for Diamondback or Suns games.
