About this property

Goose Eye, Oakworth

About this space
Situated in Goose Eye, just outside Oakworth and near to Haworth in the country side, this cosy and newly renovated 2 bedroom flat has all amenities for a self-catering experience away from home. Historic Haworth and the Bronte Parsonage are 2.5 miles away, whilst Keighley and Worth Valley Oakworth Rail Station (location of the series ‘The Railway Children’) is just 2 miles away. Teapot Dam is within walking distance and the stunning moors landscape is on your doorstep with walks for as long as your legs will carry you. Skipton, Ilkley, the Yorkshire Dales National Park and Harrogate are all easily accessible by car and Keighley is nearby with multiple supermarkets and another station on the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway – this time at one end of the line. The Turkey Inn is over the road and serve fine ales plus they make a lovely Sunday roast.
The space
Our flat is on the ground floor and accessible through a shared garage in the basement or a pedestrian entrace on the ground floor. Built on the land around the old Watermill that is on North Beck, the buildings are in keeping with the style of the mill but with a modern twist. The living room has a sofa bed, 40 inch smart TV and a selection of books and games. The klitchen and dining area are off this room with Yorkshire tea, coffee, sugar and milk available for when you arrive along with a Tassimo machine and a small selection of pods. The kitchen is fully equipped so you just have to bring your own food. The bedrooms are cosy and set up with a double bed in each.
The area
You can not beat the views in the local area. With a decent sized town like Keighley near by for all your essentials then Ilkley, Skipton (with it's castle), the spa town of Harrogate and historic Haworth all within a short drive, you simply have something for everyone near by. Within a few miles there are the Oakworth and Keighley stations on the historic Keighley and Worth Valley Railway, The Bronte Parsonage Museum, Ponden Kirk Fairy Cave, Bronte waterfall, Goit Stock waterfall, the St. Ives Estate, Hewenden viaduct, Keighley Tarn, Oakworth Lakes fishery, Branshaw Golf Club, Cliffe Castle and Teapot Dam. Plus you get all of the amazing walks and footpaths over the moors and dales. You'll be needing those comfy beds when you get back from all of that!
