Missing a Lot

This is the first time we have been disappointed in a VRBO rental. I assumed that apartments had to comply with a check list of required items but apparently that is not true. The kitchen lacked a microwave, a toaster, a coffee maker (one larger than the smallest stove top espresso maker), bread knife and cutting board, paper towel, hot pads, and the list could go on. The sofa squeaked and groaned when sat upon and seemed none too clean. End tables in both the living room and bedroom were the smallest imaginable. And the hallway of the building reeked of what I imagine was sewage. Altogether we were really delighted to leave after our unsatisfactory three day stay. Since VRBO does not seem to have some sort of quality control, we won't be using their site again.
