Facing Saumur castle with a view. very quiet linker, supermarket 350 meters, walk 15 minutes from downtown, 15 minutes walk or bike to the vineyards.

Emplacement idéal pour la vue et la proximité du château. Nous avons malheureusement eu un problème de télévision (pas de son). Quelques toiles d'araignées superflues... Néanmoins séjour très agréable.

Wonderful spacious cottage

Absolutely beautiful cottage overlooking the Chateau at Saumur. Well equipped (dishwasher, oven, lockable utliity/ shed) and with good sized bedrooms and plenty of space. Owner very helpful and easy to talk to. Really good base for exploring Loire Valley. Route to Saumur town quick and easy if rather steep! Overall a great place to stay.

Idéalement située cette maison est charmante (attention douche brulante ou glacée: réglage difficile). Propriétaire très accueillante et sympathique. Une déception, il est annoncé un salon de jardin : il n'y a qu'un transat pour six... un peu juste et aucun espace vert. Le logis est très agréable, frais (période canicule) joliment décoré. Nous avons apprécié notre séjour en pays saumurois.

Wow, what a spectacular vacation property. Beautiful grounds and view, pool, fantastic home. Best equipped home that we have stayed in. Luc and Alain were fabulous hosts. Lots to do in the area. It couldn't have been better.

Brilliant location, fantastic views, delightful owner, well equipped kitchen though outdated,

Perfect weather, I am in my 80's and with my 3 teenage grandchildren plus parents, we kayaked down the Loire , went to a balloon festival at Brissac-quince, free film at the Saumur castle, saw chateaux of Angers, Chinon and wonderful Chenonceaux. Mostly we practised our French. Visited beaches and Omaha beach on way home.

Great location only a short downhill walk to the town centre

The property was in a great location just next to the Chateau and with a panoramic view of the Loire. It is a 10 minute walk downhill to the main square with bars and restaurants. The property is an old house with a very steep stone staircase ( which may be an issue for travelers with infants). There is no real garden but plenty of space nearby the Chateau for kids to run around while parents can enjoy the view. The decor could be updated, but all facilities worked fine and it is good value as a family rental.
