Pretty, but not geared toward vacation rental
Flat is in a lovely location, but is clearly not geared toward standard vacation rental. The owners personal effects (clothes, toiletries, drying racks, houseplants) take up 98% of the flat space. We only had two nightstand drawers to stow our items, so we had to live out of our suitcases for the few days we were there. The “second bedroom/exercise room“ was unusable. A full drying rack, office furniture, music stand, and inflated yoga ball “stored” on the bed made it uninhabitable. There was no place to sit and eat, As most of the “dining table” was taken up with house plants. There was no information about the neighborhood, places to eat, suggestions on what to do around the area, that we’ve become used to in vacation rentals. Overall, it gave the impression that the owner of the property is sub letting while she’s not using her it herself, to help defray the cost of living in such a nice area. Understandable given the way the economy works, but it did mean it was a much less comfortable place to stay for a vacationer. This would be a perfectly fine place if someone was just in town for a day or two for an event or to see a show, but if the owner wanted to make it more comfortable for folks staying longer, I would strongly suggest decluttering and freeing up some wardrobe space.

I am a classical concert pianist and split my time between NYC, London, LA, and the Cayman Islands. This is very much my home and I care about it a great deal. I make every effort to have all the things that guests could possibly need and they are welcome to use whatever they like. It is purely on a system of trust and hoping to attract lovely people. My friend and my lovely cleaner together will take care of all of your needs and do their best to make you feel as at home as possible.

Why they chose this property

This property if I had all the money in the world would still be where I would chose to live in London. It is accessible to Heathrow and Gatwick, Kensington Gardens, Hyde Park, and Holland Park are less than a five minute walk away. I am a serpentine swimmer so I love to swim and then run through the parks in the morning. There is so much shopping on High Street Ken and nearby Notting Hill. High St Ken tube has the district and circle lines; it id equidistant to Notting Hill Gate tube which has the central line. There are also a whole host of local bus routes that come regularly. The street is the perfectly pretty period, quiet residential street but just a minute or two's walk away and you are in central London. Grocery shopping wise there is a huge Whole Foods, Waitrose, and a smaller Sainsbury's (all less than five minutes walk away). It is a spacious and well lit flat with private outside space.

What makes this property unique

I love the location and the quality of spec that the flat has. The TV comes with Virgin Media and paid for Amazon Prime, Netflix, Sky, BBC Player (fully licensed). The second bedroom is used by me as a gym and office and comes fully equip as both. There are dumbbells of all weights, yoga mats, foam rollers and tripods to put your devices on. There is a desk and office chair with stationary and a wireless printer for your use. There is a private washer/dryer in the flat. There is also a grand piano. The bathroom has underfloor heating and a rain shower, there is greenery at the back of the flat bringing blue tits and great tits in the spring and summer.
