Great room, great pool, great location

We loved our stay at the Peninsula. The room was large and the photo's in the add were accurate. The pool area was incredible...the pool is probably the biggest pool I have ever seen and the day beds/lounge chairs surrounding it were a great touch. No complaints, would stay here again.

PV tower on the beach

We stayed twice two days apart. For our first stay the person who usually cleans was sick and the substitute cleaner did not clean the unit as well as the regular person did for our second stay. I cannot blame our host for this and she made every effort to notify us of the problem and to offer us options. Communication from our host was excellent and she accommodated our requests for late checkout and provided us with a hair dryer when we requested one. Security outside the Península Towers is very tight and we had difficulty letting us in for our second stay. Again our host responded promptly and helped to resolve the security issue. The unit itself is very spacious. It is on the side of the building and does not face the beach but there is some partial ocean view from the balcony. The unit does not have a dishwasher but this was not a problem for our short stay. The Towers are very luxurious and the pool is huge with plenty of seating. Beach access is easy. Again many thanks to our host for being so responsive and helpful.

Overall a good place to stay. Directions to the VRBO should be clearer, if you drive by the Starbucks, you passed the entrance. Upon arrival, check-in is in the parking garage. Check-in was smooth, and employees were pleasant. The key for the door is an old school "cruciform" key- it has four sides. Just make sure the notch it on the top. One burner was not working, but the other three work just fine. I asked for a toaster, and they supplied one. Hot water is limited, so be the first one in your group to shower. The unit is nice, but does show some wear. The unit is on the second floor. Yes, you can see the beach, but it is not on the beach side. There is construction on a new building, so hammerdrills start at 8AM everyday. The Krystal complex is your other view. They have a very nice pool, and the beach is not as busy as the resorts, so you can find a canopy on the beach nearly anytime. Overall the people were friendly, the pool and beach were nice, and the VRBO was good.

Decent unit, but read the details of the listing carefully...

We stayed here the first week of Jan 2024, having come from staying at another unit within the building for the 2 weeks prior. While the Peninsula is a fantastic complex, and probably gets booked constantly, there is little care to checking if everything works prior to next set of renters coming in. The cooktop was not working, there is NO dishwasher or stove in the unit, and no toaster (for even a quick toast in the morning) - so while the unit shows all these lovely pots and pans for cooking, there is nothing to cook ON! There is no basics, like salt or pepper, and I believe they left us a single roll of TP...it could have been more stocked in my opinion. There was one plug in on the floor by the kitchen table, however, there was what looked to be a broken off key in one of the sockets, so SUPER dangerous for potential of electric shock. On the plus side, the unit was very clean, contains a very large modern TV (but no english chanels, so be warned - we brought a Firestick and that worked great), master bedroom has a king bed with great pillows (the bed is rather FIRM I must say), had a good washer/dryer (but again, did not have any soap) Unit is on the 2nd floor and does not look straight to beach, but overlooks the rather dilapidated facility next door (poorly kept property) so don't expect any views. Overall, we most likely would not stay in this unit again, there are better ones within the complex with amazing views and much better maintenance and care.
