Cottage was clean & comfortable & in a nice quiet location Re parking it was very busy & had to park on the Moor lane car parkThe shower is a bit tricky if you are 6 ft tall as there is a supporting beam on the ceiling to contend with , mind your head !
Lovely little cottage in perfect location. The cottage is exactly as described and is a perfect Dales base for 2 people. We booked pretty last minute for the bank holiday week in August, so we were worried about the lack of a dedicated parking space. However, we were able to park either on the road outside or in the car park round the corner every day - so not a problem at all.
We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful cottage. It was in a perfect location for the village of Grassington and walks from the doorstep. Cottage was immaculately clean. Parking was not an issue. We are looking forward to returning soon!
The cottage was cozy, clean and welcoming, perfect for us. Grassington is a great location, we went on walks from the door both upstream along the river looping back through Grass Wood, and downstream to Hebden and a fine sandwich in the Clarenden Hotel. In Grassington we had a great evening meal in the Black Horse and also a tasty takeaway curry from Rozis which we picked up on the way back from the Fountaine Inn in Linton, well worth a 25 minute walk.
All great and as expected other than the lack of any garden furniture that was detailed in the listing.Parking was also a bit of an issue - hence the 4 stars

Thank you for your feedback.
We are sorry that the garden furniture was not as you anticipated.
We have since visited the property and agree that the garden furniture was in need of replacement.
There is now a new garden bench and we are in the process of sourcing a new garden table.
The original furniture photograph has been removed and photos of the new furniture will be added shortly.
Thank you again for your comments and sincerely hope it did not spoil your stay in Grassington.
Thank you
Beautiful cottage in a beautiful village. The cottage was clean and well equipped and as the weather was beautiful the garden was well used by us. Just an outstanding place to stay.
This cottage was just perfect for us. Clean, tidy, cozy...all we could ask for! Great location...easy walk from cottage to the center of Grassington with it's shops, pubs, visitors center & sites...walk in the other direction & you are minutes away from walks on the Dales with scenic vistas & idyllic beauty. Host provided lots of info at cottage about walks and sites to see. We loved our time here. Highly recommend!
My husband and I stayed at the lovely cottage in Grassington. It was just ideal for us. We really did not use the kitchen much as there were so many nice options for breakfast and lunch in town. Everything was easy walking distance including access to lovely hiking trails just a short wander not far from the unit’s front door. Everything was very comfortable & immaculate. Would definitely return.
Cosy, quiet and perfectly situated cottage from which to spend time in Grassington and enjoy the local area.Only didn’t give five stars because there are a few things which weren’t quite up to standard like the outside furniture in the garden which was nothing like the photos.Fortunately we took out own directors chairs so no problem.Had a comfortable three nights in the cottage and even had no problems parking.
Fantastic cottage, warm, cosy and very welcoming. Had everything that we needed. Thought parking would be a hassle but it wasn’t. Log fire was easy and kept the cottage cosy. Many beautiful walks from the front door. Grassington is amazing
Beautiful, perfectly equipped cottage in a gorgeous location. Would definitely love to come back!

About the host
Hosted by Janet McDonald
We are two sisters who have been coming to our family cottage since 1966 when we were small children. Our parents purchased the cottage when there was still livestock roaming in the fold, and we have had many happy holidays here! We now have grand children and share our favourite pastimes in this beautiful area with them.
Why they chose this property
The cottage is cosy but light and spacious. A quiet haven to relax and unwind in. You can forget about time, even your car, and explore some of the most beautiful scenery in the country straight from the door. You remain close to all the hustle and the bustle of this thriving Dales village whilst having your own private garden space for quieter moments.
