The Plymouth self-catering “New York” style apartment faces southwest and has a stylish lounge with exposed beams, internal columns, stone walls, oak floors and dual aspect windows, allowing the sea view to enter the apartment. To enhance the view and bring the outside into the apartment, one of the windows are stunning original floor to ceiling double doors that open inwards to the lounge with a Juliet balcony. Facing southwest the holiday apartment enjoys the benefit of afternoon and evening sun.
This holiday apartment has been converted, furnished and decorated to the highest possible standard in a modern contemporary design. The design is clean, contemporary and restrained in contrast to the dark, rich historic atmosphere, emphasising the ancient and the new. A modern designer kitchen, luxury bathroom and entertainment systems have tastefully been installed. This apartment is truly a superior Plymouth holiday apartment with the highest luxury specification, design and detail.
The Royal William Yard is an ever increasing development with new restaurants, lounge bar dining, marina and businesses.
These include the Seco Lounge, Prezzo, Bakery, The River Cottage Canteen and Deli, and Martin Bush Gallery.
The Royal William Apartment is conveniently above the Seco Lounge, located in the heart of the development and access to all the facilities.
The Royal William Yard in Plymouth originally conceived by Samuel Pepys when he was secretary to the Navy in the 17th century and constructed by Sir John Rennie between 1825 and 1831. Designed as both a factory and supply depot for ships victualling needs, here the Royal Navy refuelled with rum. It continued to supply right up to its closure in the early 1990s, which has now been redeveloped into a world-class development.
The Royal William holiday apartment is centrally located on the Plymouth waterfront, close to all attractions and facilities.
The Royal William is our most sophisticated luxury apartment with fantastic views and overlooking the marina in the Royal William Yard. It is our most popular apartment, interesting it is a favourite with our corporate clients, in particularly with VIP guest and celebrities that visit Plymouth.
As the apartment overlooks the Royal William Marina (Royal William Yacht Harbour) there is also the availability of berths within the Marina. The Berth fees vary on the size / length of the boat and period of stay. The period of stay is either short stay (4 hours), 24 hours, weekly or Monthly. Therefore it is possible to moor you boat within the Royal William Yard and overlook your yacht or powerboat from the luxury sea views apartment.
In addition to the Royal William Marina there are also berths available at Mayflower marina, which is opposite the Royal William Yard.
There is also a regular water bus (ferry service) from the Royal William Yard, which transports people to the Barbican in the centre of the city and operates from the 1st May to the 30th September.
Within the Royal William Yard there is the Seco Lounge restaurant and bar, Martin Bush Gallery, the University of Plymouth Fine Arts exhibitions and the Royal Navy visitor centre. There is 24 hour security in the Royal William Yard.
Mount Edgcumbe country park is just on the opposite bank of the river Tamar from the Royal William Yard with a frequent passenger ferry connection. The foot passenger Cremyll ferry that goes to Mount Edgcumbe is a 5 minute walk.
Parking at the Royal William is £7.50 per day. Arranged by me. Normal parking at the Royal William yard is now pay and display, and on a vehicle registration recognition system. Alternatively there is onsite parking with SIP carparks.

It was really a great place to base yourself to visit other places in Devon and Cornwall Everything you need for your stay well equipped and very clean . A lot of noise from the restaurant down stairs at the weekend when the doors are opened but worth it for the view
Property very clean and well presented. Contact with Phil the owner was really good and very helpful. RWY is an ideal place to holiday, plenty of surrounding restaurants and easy access to Plymouth.
Property was comfortable very well equipped and located overlooking the Docks. More of a tourist venue which was supported by a number of large restaurants but little else. A good spot to visit Plymouth and surrounding area. Unfortunately as we booked over New Year all the restaurants closed at 11.00 pm leaving the area devoid of any nightlife. Hence a very flat NY.
Tout simplement royal ! Léger désagrément à l'arrivée de ne pas trouver la location nettoyée, en fait sans aucune implication du propriétaire, ce que le personnel d'entretien prévenu par ce dernier, hôte par ailleurs très réactif, nous a bien précisé. Le cadre est magnifique, vue sur la marina. Alors même que le site est très animé, l'appartement est très calme. Les équipements sont au top. Spacieux, lit confortable, cet appartement peut être recommandé sans aucune réticence. Excellente description pour la porte d'entrée. Attention à la baie vitrée au rez-de-chaussée : sans le badge du trousseau, il faut que la porte soit ouverte pour rejoindre l'appartement. C'est une adresse que nous reviendrons pour un éventuel prochain passage sur Plymouth. A noter la place de parking effectivement réservée par notre hôte, qui nous avait au préalable expliqué où trouver une place.
This apartment is stunning, it looks over the harbour which is lovely 😊, I would have given everything a ten ! But I was asked to go to an address to pick up my keys to the apartment and that would have been fine but it was 8miles in total out of my way and when you have been travelling for nearly 4hrs that was a little annoying, and just to say the oven did not look like it had been cleaned from previous tenants . There where just a few cleaning issues but overall you can forgive as it’s a beautiful apartment.
Very clean and modern. Fab view from the balcony. Good places to eat and drink only a few minutes walk away. Foot ferry nearby. There's even a beach, through the stone arch near the car park, 3 minute walk away.
Vanaf aankomst tot vertrek was genieten in dit geweldige appartement. De ruimte en de sfeer zijn groots. Gastheer zorgt ervoor dat het je aan niets ontbreekt en houdt vinger aan de pols. In de omgeving is genoeg te doen. Kortom we hadden nergens anders willen verblijven.
Excellent place to stay whilst visiting Plymouth. Apartment very well furnished and equipped. Lovely views and fantastic choice of places to eat within short walk.
Thoroughly recommend but hope future visitors have better weather!

Beautiful apartment in a stunning location!
I booked this apartment to celebrate my husbands birthday, and it was a very modern space with restaurants and bars close by, and set along the docks with the sea as the backdrop - simply perfect.
The owner was very helpful when we needed a last minute car parking space, and the welcome package was a very nice touch to the booking.
I would definitely recommend this place during the summer months as the apartment was nice and cooling especially with the juliet balcony open :)

Sauber und modern, jedoch z.T. laut durch Nachbarn
Das Appartement war sauber und modern eingerichtet. Der gute Eindruck wurde jedoch etwas getrübt durch die Nachbarn links (sehr lauter Fernseher am Abend), drüber (Trampeln und Möbelrücken am Abend und in der Nacht).
Parken etwas chaotisch funktionierte aber letzendlich.

Nice Place
This is a very nice place that matches the pictures and description. Our only problem was that the central heating did not work and it was cold. We did report the issue. The next day we were told that it had been checked and was working and were once again given the same usage instructions. Unfortunately the heating did not work and subsequently sat in our jackets during the evening to keep warm!
