Bike store. On-road parking. No smoking.. This large, detached Grade two listed property is set on the outskirts of the pretty town of Montgomery, close to the town’s amenities.
The Offa’s Dyke National Trail runs close by to the town, providing a good excuse to get on your boots and head off for a walk, with vineyards and homemade ice cream suppliers nearby. Guests are also very close to the National Trust properties Powys Castle, Chirk Castle, Erddig and Attingham Park. The Welshpool to Llanfair steam railway, Montgomery Canal, and Lake Vyrnwy are all local and well worth a visit. Quad biking, paintballing and horse riding are all available locally, and watersports can be found at Bala Lake and in Llangollen, a 40-minute drive. Historic Shrewsbury is a 30-minute drive away, while within easy driving distance there is also Welshpool and Newtown all of which host a wide range of bars, shops and restaurants, and the west Wales coastline is approximately an hour’s drive away.
