Tucked away in the heart of the Wiltshire countryside is a truly opulent glamping experience just waiting to be discovered! Safari Lodge is an incredible luxury getaway with its own private hot tub, beautiful décor and plenty of thoughtful touches.

As you approach, there is a lovely undercover outdoor seating area, with comfortable chairs and an open hatch to the kitchen with bar style seating, making it a lovely social space. Inside, there is also a formal dining table to seat four, in-keeping with beautiful rustic wood style. The kitchen area inside is very well equipped, there is a full size fridge-freezer, electric kettle, toaster and hob, plus all the kitchenware you will need to make your favourite holiday cuisine.

A beautiful wood-burner sits in the centre of the lodge, creating a wonderful homely feature and heating the whole space very effectively on chillier evenings. A plush leather sofa with cushions and throws gives you somewhere to cosy up and relax after a day of fresh air.

In the bedrooms there is electric lighting, ample space for storage and luxurious beds with plenty of throws and blankets for a cosy feel and a great night’s sleep. The bathroom is fully equipped and has a smart shower enclosure, basin and WC, so guests will have all the comforts of home.

Locally there is plenty to see and do, and being located conveniently between Melksham and Devizes, there are shops, supermarkets and restaurants within easy reach, and a plethora of excellent pubs in the surrounding area. The Kennet and Avon Canal is very nearby, with tranquil walks and beautiful views along the towpath in either direction, and the famous Caen Hill Locks not far away. Seend post office and shop is within walking distance of the lodge, just over the canal bridge in the village, and there is also a delightful shop in Polshot selling local produce such as meat and vegetables.

The National Trust attractions of Lacock Abbey, Great Chalfield Manor, and Westwood Manor are all close by, and Stonehenge is only a half an hour drive.

If exploring the countryside is top of your list, you will be spoilt for choice, with the North Wessex Downs, The Cotswolds, and Cranborne Chase all areas of outstanding natural beauty, within easy reach by car.

There are a couple of steps up to the floor level of the lodge, there are no fixed doorways inside. The bathroom has not been adapted, however the shower enclosure is walk-in.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Rusty Lane Safari Tent, and I must say, it was a lovely experience from start to finish! The tent itself is beautifully appointed, providing a unique blend of comfort and adventure. My favourite part was the amazing hot tub – it was a wonderful way to unwind after a day of exploration. The location is fantastic, with an easy and pleasant walk to the local pub, where we enjoyed some delicious meals and a friendly atmosphere. It's the perfect spot for those looking to immerse themselves in the beauty of nature while having modern conveniences close at hand. One of the highlights of my stay was the abundance of wildlife. We spotted deer roaming the area, and there were plenty of little birds fluttering about, making for a delightful nature-watching experience right from the tent. While our stay was mostly peaceful, I did notice that the tent can be a bit noisy when it's windy.

Amazing stay in a rural location for a group of four girls

The safari lodge has all the little touches to make a stay extra special. It was great to be in a secluded location so we didn’t have to worry about being in the hot tub at night. We were a group of four girls and found the space really well laid out and comfortable. I have already started recommending it to people as it is incredible value for money and a nice, unique stay. More cutlery would great! Having more knives and forks per person would make cooking a lot easier.

Everything. Peaceful setting with no neighbours. Beautiful accomodation. Our host Sarah was lovely, nothing was too much trouble. Sarah was there to greet us and even came to say goodbye. Everything you needed was there. 15 min walk to the delightful pub &#39The Barge' where the setting was on the canal and the food was excellent. Definitely returning next year.

This place is a Gem!!!

This was one of the most magical place we've ever stayed in! A real luxurious, restful, calm and peaceful place! Sarah, the host, has great attention to detail, the place has just everything you need!! Water, wood for the fire place, charcoal for the barbecue and fire starter, salt and pepper, pan and pots. You name it, you get it! Sarah was very kind to leave a bottle of wine in the fridge for us and would also ensure that the jacuzzi was good to use on a daily basis. She even emptied the barbecue for us (after we used it). We are very thankful to Sarah for the amazing experience this place gave us! This place is a GEM, it exceeded our expectations and we will definitely be back again! Thank you! -

A great place for a family/ couples getaway into the countryside.

Location is very remote so a great getaway from the rush of normal life. The tent is very substantial and puts the glam in glamping. Great facilities including the hot tub, good shower and bathroom and the log burner is perfect for cosy evening with everything needed provided.
