About this space
This beautiful, eclectic, unique home really is a world apart from anything else on the market in Belfast. Reupholstered 1920s furniture combined with stunning personal touches throughout truly make for an incredible stay. Set off a leafy side street in hip south Belfast you are a one minute walk from Ormeau Road which plays hosts to the best coffee shops , bars, and restaurants our amazing city has to offer. The award winning Ormeau Park is just minutes away and perfect for an evening stroll.

The Space
This 1930’s red brick semi-detached house is a riot of color and pattern with quirky curio pieces strewn throughout. Owned by an illustrator/designer with a love of fashion and textiles the house takes inspiration from children’s books, in particular Alice in Wonderland. A beautiful cherry tree welcomes you into the property with a colorful hallway with vintage mirrors and black and white Victorian tiles. There are quirky touches everywhere, from wallpaper with chameleons in top hats and pocket watches, painted woodwork, parrot blinds, 60s crackle lamps, G-plan furniture, raven and monkey lights, multicolored seating and chandeliers, and mirrored disco ball tiles in the kitchen, it has an eclectic and fun vibe.
The Area
It’s situated on the bustling Ormeau Road which is a 1 min walk away. Here you can find a huge variety of shops, cafes, restaurants and bars. Grab groceries in Tesco Express, Central, the Mace or the huge Spar on Sunnyside Street. There are also an array of wonderful independent shops - buy freshly baked bread, cakes and pastries from Bread and Banjo, artisan cheeses and chutneys from Indie Fude, a fantastic selection of wines in the Vineyard at the end of the street (in my opinion the best off license in Belfast!), insanely good vegan chocolate gelato in Al-Gelato, modern designer flowers and gifts in Memento, local fruit and veg in Michel’s, meat in McCreery’s butchers and a selection of Polish brands in Karolina.
There are more than 18 different cafes and restaurants worth checking out, from Kaffe-o’s Nordic style coffee, to the General Merchants delicious modern brunch, to the classic café grub available at Graffiti. Restaurants include Stove (whose chefs used to work at the highly regarded Ginger and Schuh restaurants in Belfast), The Shed, L’Etoile (classic French food), Greens Pizza (a long standing Belfast favorite), great Indian food at the Bengal Brasserie and the award winning Bia Rebel Ramen.
Nearby bars include stalwarts such as The Errigle Inn who have a selection of different bars and upstairs with live music, The Pavillion who have live music and a comedy club on a Monday night, the Northern Lights and The Parador Lodge (old school!)
There’s also loads of charity shops to pick up Knick knacks or have a browse and discover curios.
