Fab family weekend
We had a great stay for my dad's 80th birthday celebrations. The property was fully equipped with everything you could need and we had a lovely welcome hamper left for us. The beds and pillows were spotless and very comfortable. The property was clean and tidy. Couldn't have asked for any more!

Family 70th Birthday Celebration
We were a group of 14 ranging in age from 7-70 celebrating a joint 70th birthday. The accommodation was extremely clean and provided everything we needed for the weekend. The games room, and the games provided for guest use, were enjoyed by each member of the party. We loved the various reception rooms which gave us space and allowed a retreat from the excitement when necessary. The guest info provided was also really useful - we had a superb cold buffet from Patricia Sharman, one of the suggested caterers, and a great Sunday lunch at The Oaksmere, just a ten minute walk away. All in all a perfect location and we would love to visit again!

Excellent Place to Stay in Suffolk
We have stayed at this property several times now - it's an amazing place to stay, always impeccably clean with lots of room and a well-appointed kitchen that actually caters for a full complement of guests. Since our previous visit 2 years ago (pre-covid), the owner has redecorated some of the rooms showing their dedication to keeping it in top condition. We've already booked again for 2022!

About the host

Hosted by Jo West

Host profile image
We are proud to call Suffolk our home, a place where our family has been deeply rooted for five generations as farmers. This cherished connection to the land has instilled in us a profound appreciation for the beauty of Suffolk's countryside and its rich agricultural heritage. As hosts, we find immense joy in sharing our meticulously renovated barns with guests from near and far. It's our way of extending the warm hospitality that has been a hallmark of our family for generations. Welcoming you to our properties is more than just a business venture; it's an opportunity to invite you into the heart of Suffolk, where traditions meet modern comforts, and where the love for our land shines through every detail of your stay. We look forward to hosting you and creating lasting memories together in this enchanting corner of the world.

Why they chose this property

At Wild & West we are proud to be fifth generation farmers, tending to the land that surrounds our properties. We grow herbs and arable crops, and raise English longhorn cattle, pigs and sheep. Church Farmhouse is an original farm house where generations of West farmers grew up. As farming dinamics shift and the need for such a large farmhouse no longer needed it is wonderful to share this property with other families to enjoy the surrounding area and Suffolk countryside.

What makes this property unique

Our barns are far from ordinary; they are a testament to the rich history and charm of Suffolk's countryside. Nestled amidst the picturesque landscapes, our holiday homes were once dilapidated farm barns, lovingly transformed into luxurious getaways. Each barn bears the name of a dedicated farmer who toiled on our farm, embodying a legacy of hard work and devotion. As you step inside, you'll be greeted by the warm embrace of centuries-old oak beams, their rustic character echoing the barns' heritage. But it's not just the interiors that captivate our guests; it's the tranquility of the surrounding area that truly sets us apart. Here, amidst the Suffolk countryside you'll discover the perfect escape from the bustle of everyday life. We offer more than just accommodation; we provide an opportunity to immerse yourself in the soul of Suffolk, where history meets modern comfort and serenity reigns supreme. Come, experience the magic of our Suffolk barns and create memories that will last a lifetime.
