Petit Hibou — Charming One-Bedroom Apartment in Méribel

Welcome to Petit Hibou, a warm and inviting one-bedroom apartment located in the heart of Méribel (main resort). Tucked just beside a free car park and only moments from shops, lifts, and transport, this cosy studio is perfect for up to 4 guests.

Situated on the second floor of a traditional chalet, the apartment is accessed via 25 external steps. Inside, you’ll find:

One bedroom with a comfortable double bed (and space for a cot)



A bright living area with kitchen and dining space



A double sofa-bed in the lounge



A separate bathroom



A fully fitted kitchen, including a dishwasher



Petit Hibou offers the warm, homely atmosphere of a catered chalet but at the cost and flexibility of a self-catered stay — a rare find in Méribel. Having run a family catered-chalet company for 15 years, we love sharing our knowledge of the resort and providing a welcoming, high-standard base for your holiday.

Petit Hibou can be rented individually, or combined with our two-bedroom chalet, Chez Leone, which occupies the lower two floors of the same building. Together, the two properties accommodate up to 9 guests, making them perfect for larger families or groups who want to holiday side-by-side.

Cozy apartment in Meribel

We had a very nice stay in this cozy apartment in Meribel. The place is true to the photos and has a great location 10-15 min by foot from the centre and the slopes. It’s clean, quiet and you have tons of privacy, with views of the mountains and for this reason we enjoyed our time there. My only critiques of it is that there was a lack of information and slow communication once we arrived at the apartment. We had no instructions how to get there (and it doesn’t pop up on Google Maps), there was no information on what the WiFI password is, where ski lockers were, how to lock the door properly (we had trouble with this) or even info on nearby grocery stores, bus stops and other amenities. I think an easy solve for the host would be to leave a booklet with all this information in the apartment - it would go a long way. The only other drawback is that you can’t stand up in the bathtub because of the sloping ceilings but you do have a skylight in the bathroom and can watch the stars and night. All in all I would recommend a stay here.

Hi Patricia, Thanks for your review and glad you had a pleasant stay. I have taken note of the welcome booklet and will put one together. We used to have one but it needs updating since we renovated the apartment. I had sent the arrival information and map by message on the site prior to your arrival but perhaps you missed that. I agree, French doors can be difficult to shut, you need to know to pull the handle up as you turn the key. Best wishes. Toby
