Entry is the glass french doors to right of the main doors.

As much as you want. We do come and go on the outside of the property for maintenance and service and personal use or interactions with guests to the Main House, Casa d'Amore

The neighborhood

Quiet, Family neighborhood. The footpath /lake trails run along the back of the property. Fishing boats, small craft and paddle boards are mostly on this part of the lake - skiing is usually up river.

Getting around

Need a car
busses do run into town
Train drop off in Roseville

once you are there catch the bike trails to cover a bunch of areas. From the house you can ride all the way down to Old Town Sacramento or run up to Tahoe :)

Some spaces are shared - the courtyard to walk to the Guest house is rented to the main house

If more parking is needed, parking at Lakeshore Beverages parking lot down the street works.

Lake Folsom digs

We have stayed at Donna's place multiple times. It is comfortable and well stocked with linens and kitchen items. It is always interesting to see the view of Lake Folsom and how it changes depending on water levels. Donna is attentive and very responsive.

Love the Lake

Donna is a top tier host, everything was perfect. The Casita exceeding our expecations. The views and proximity to the Lake were fantastic. Donna communicates extremely well and all our needs were met. We can't wait to be back and hope someday to rent out the Main house!

Fantastic view!

Very nice location, wonderful view of lake, clean, organized, well stocked, enjoyed quiet evenings around the fireplace, peaceful walks around the neighborhood, easy access to Old Sacramento. Hostess was engaged, friendly and kept us informed at all times. Will definitely stay here again when in this area!

Perfect getaway

This was just the right home base for us this weekend. Donna made sure we had everything we needed. We barely had time to scratch the surface of all the area has to offer. Glorious view of the sunrise over the lake. Hope to come and stay again!

Beautiful casita overlooking Folsom Lake

This casita was better than described; welcoming, comfortable with everything needed for a pleasant stay. Donna was easy to communicate with and responded almost immediately. The weather was too hot to enjoy the outdoors but quiet time on the patio or a walk in the morning or evening would otherwise have been perfect. Definitely will return!

Another perfect weekend at Granite Bay

My 15 year old daughter and I rent this Casita whenever my daughter has a mountain bike race in Granite Bay. This place is just perfect for two people, and an easy bike ride to the park and lakefront (and starting line). It's always clean, has a well equipped kitchen and bathroom, and parking is easy. Donna is also easy to communicate with, friendly, and so reasonable. I highly recommend the Casita for anyone looking to get away. An added bonus is every time we stay here, my daughter wins her race! So there's that, too. 😄

Lovely !

My husband and I had an extended, 3 week stay. We loved this property: the location is a short drive from Historic Folsom, with its neat shops and stores, but in a quiet neighborhood. The morning sunrises from the living and bedroom were wonderful. Very clean and well-organized Nice layout, with a feeling of privacy, yet spaciousness. Donna was extremely prompt in responding to requests (so important). We enjoyed beautiful walks along the lake's path, but also in the interesting, pretty neighborhood. Definitely recommend !

Relaxing

Wow! Where to begin our amazing weekend away. The location was PERFECT! Yes you can walk down to the bay from the house. It was a bit more work for us with a little one going down the hill, but it was perfect for the 1st day since the weather wasnt the greatest. The casita is just like the photos. This place had EVERYTHING you needed. Seasonings for food, syrup for pancakes, coffee etc. Even ziplocks ans tupperwear. I loved that everything was labeled (what sheets went to what, extra towels etc). No need for ac the bay breeze was great. We had two cars and followed donnas directions. Our car safe in the extra lot down the street. The place was just what we need for our family. We had a great stay. If you want to take a trip down memory lane check out there dvd collection.this is definitely a favorite place and will be back next summer! Thanks so much Donna.

Not really what I expected . . .

The casita is lovely and well appointed; however, had I known what an issue it would be to have a second car, I would have stayed somewhere else. The fact that the listing says one parking space for the casita and that there is parking at the shopping center doesn’t tell you that the center is several miles away and there is literally no street parking anywhere near the casita. That fact caused my son and I stress every time we had to drive somewhere (we came from different states and both had cars), which did affect the enjoyment of our trip. That being said, if you only have one car, then its a fine place to stay. I just wish the listing had been clearer on that issue.

Bed was very comfortable

We visited family in the area and stayed here Sat through Tues. The bed was the most comfortable for us because its a memory foam, like we have at our own home. We gave the cleanliness 4/5 due to a few areas in the kitchenette floor had some spillage that was not wiped up from the maids. Looked to be something from the trash can was removed and they just didn't see what dripped on the floor, so not a big deal to report as we just wiped that up. The outside of the front area of this home had a lot of leaves debris, and it looked unkept, but we figured their gardeners may not have been there, or there was a wind storm ? Anyway, the rest of the unit was clean and it was separated from the guests in the main house. The only thing that was disturbing was the parking situation. The parking pad on the street was only big enough for 2 vehicles. The guests in the main unit had 5-7 cars at anytime and they didn't park well at all. The host did have to contact them upon arrival and then we had to bang on their door to ask them to fix their parking situation the next day as well. The host apologized for this inconvenience and provided a small gift upon check out, which we appreciated the acknowledgement of the parking issue we experienced. We liked the area where this home is located. We felt safe and it was quiet enough to get some rest after our long days of family visits. This host was great with communication and fairness of nightly rate for this unit.

This is a great property, beautiful location and very quiet neighborhood. Communication was great with the host. PArking is a bit tight but the host was great and shifted parking spaces around to accomodate my vehicle.

Lovely in every way

I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Casita d'Amore. It was lovely in every way. The neighborhood is peaceful and beautiful. Donna was wonderful with communicating with me in advance about everything I needed to know and answering all of my questions. The casita is spacious and lovely and has beautiful views of Folsom Lake. I was there to bike the American River Bike Trail, and the casita is very near to the trailhead, and a great place to return to and relax after a day of activity.
