The area is a delight for walkers, surrounded by stunning coastal and mountain walks, and with 20 Monroes nearby, all abilities are catered for! To the North are the villages of Ballachulish and Glencoe, approximately 15-minutes’ drive, which offer small supermarkets, tourist information, cafés, bars, restaurants and activities.
Steeped in history, Glencoe is surrounded by the most breath-taking scenery of mountains and lochs and offers a large range of sports and outdoor activities, including winter sports, hill walking, climbing, mountaineering, fishing and water sports, mountain biking and golfing. Despite its tranquility, Appin is conveniently located between Fort William, known as the ’Outdoor Capital of the UK’ where you can access Aonach Mor mountain range and Ben Nevis, and the popular town of Oban, the ‘Seafood Capital of Scotland’ and ‘Gateway to the Isles’ which has an abundance of shops and restaurants, as well as ferries to islands such as stunning Mull, Iona and Staffa, amongst others. We have just returned from this wonderful little flat.
We have just returned from this wonderful little flat. We absolutely loved it. It was modern clean and comfortable and you could see so much thought had gone in to make this a comfortable and welcoming space to stay. It is equipped with everything you could need and when the weather allows you can sit outside in the sunshine and enjoy the views. The setting is beautiful and I loved waking up to see the sheep, chickens and horses. We felt so welcomed. It is a great base to be able to explore the surrounding areas too. We cannot recommend this highly enough and definitely want to return again. Just wish we had booked 2 weeks instead of 1.
