Stunning 4 bed, 3 1/2 bath Mauna Lani home near beach, golf

This 2,500 sq. ft. luxury home is at the end of a cul-de-sac in the amazing Ka Milo development of Mauna Lani. It features 4 bedrooms and 3 and 1/2 baths, sleeping up to 10.

Bedroom descriptions: The owner's suite on the bottom floor has a king bed, a 50-inch flat screen TV, a beautiful lanai, a gigantic bathroom with soaking tub, shower and separate toilet, and a walk-in closet. Two other bedrooms are located on the bottom floor, one with a queen bed and a queen sofa sleeper (also has a 50 inch flat screen TV plus a game console that make this a perfect spot for the kids) and one room with a queen bed. Both have lanais that open up to the grassy, palm-lined backyard. An additional full bath and a laundry room are found on this floor with washer and dryer for your use. On the first floor, you find a junior owner's suite with a king bed, 50 inch TV, and private bath with shower.

Great room: On the first floor, you enter the home to a beautiful, open great room. Bamboo floors, designer furniture, mat ceiling with ceiling fans and gigantic panel windows that open to an expansive lanai make for a perfect gathering place for family and friends. The gourmet kitchen is stocked with the equipment you need to serve up a feast, including appliances, dishware, cooking ware, coffee maker, blender, and spices. There is a 65 inch flat-screen HDTV, DVD player, and Sound Bar for your entertainment. We have books, board games, video games and DVDs for you to entertain yourself with after a full day at the beach.

Lanai: The floor to ceiling glass panel doors in the living area completely disappear and open up to the spacious lanai. Sip coffee while watching the sunrise or enjoy cocktails in the evening. You can barbecue a full meal out here, taking in the lovely views of, both, Mauna Kea and Kohala volcanoes.

Ka Milo Community: Ka Milo is a low density, gated community with lush, tropical landscaping and a beautiful 2-acre recreation area. Nestled in the center of the development, the recreation area features an expansive lagoon style pool with wading area, a refreshing lap pool, 2 hot tubs, a fitness center with cardio and strength training equipment, sprawling lawns, and an enormous gathering pavilion with barbecues and tables. Enjoy the smell of plumeria as you walk from the house to the rec area. Elsewhere on the property, there is a community putting green.

Mauna Lani: Mauna Lani has two world class golf courses, a beach club, a Spa and Fitness center, restaurants and shops.

Mauna Lani Beach Club: When staying at our home, you will have full access to the Mauna Lani Beach Club, just two miles away. There you will find a private parking lot, lounge chairs, restrooms, equipment rentals and a restaurant. The water is shallow and sheltered, which is great for beginner snorkelers and kids, and a life guard is on duty during peak hours. Next to the beach are the Historic Fish Ponds where you can walk, explore and enjoy the beautiful Hawaiian sunset.

This was our third stay at this lovely home in the Ka Milo complex of the Mauna Lani area.Our grandchildren have loved coming back to it year after year. Between the open space great room, balcony overlooking Mauna Kea, well appointed kitchen, spotless cleaning, access to pool and beaches at Mauna Lani and Fairmont it was a perfect location and home for a family holiday.Many thanks to Jeannie and the other owners for providing so many wonderful memories to our families.

Family Holiday Getaway

Misty Ohana Hale was everything we expected & more. Beautifully decorated, well located, great amenities and more than enough room for our family. The rest of our extended family stayed 4 houses down the cul-de-sac so the entire experience was perfect for everyone visiting the Big Island for my nephew’s wedding!

Perfect Spot for Multi-Generational Trip

We were a family of 9 including one infant and two preschoolers plus three couples. This place was absolutely perfect! Lovely home. Quiet neighborhood. Access to beach club was particularly terrific. Perfect spot for family vacation

Our family of ten plus baby had a wonderful stay for the second time at this great house. Ka Milo is a great complex, quiet with nice pool and hot tub, excellent access to Fairmont beach and access to Mauna Lani beach. House is spotless beds are great, lots of space for kids to run and play. Owner very responsive and accommodating. Had our thanksgiving dinner here. Great kitchen!

Multigenerational family vacation for two weeks. The house was perfect! The open layout and kitchen made it perfect for leisurely group cooking. The kitchen is well stocked. We appreciated the beverage refrigerator. The beds were comfortable. Beach chairs and towels, and the bikes were great. Proximity to the pools and gym was perfect. Access to the beach club was very nice. All in all it, was a perfect vacation!

Fantastic family getaway

Our family of ten—six adults and four children ages 2 to 6 had a wonderful time at this beautiful Ka Milo house. Very quiet and peaceful neighborhood. Kids loved the pool and access to Maura Lani beach club which had nice calm water, good snorkeling. The house is spacious, modern, and has a great kitchen for cooking meals which we used extensively due to the young children. Balcony looks towards the mountain and is very peaceful. Owner is very responsive. Couldn’t ask for a nicer place to share our family Christmas vacation.

Beautiful!

We had the best vacation stay. There were 10 of us (7 adults and 3 teenagers) celebrate dad’s 85th birthday and this house was perfect. We loved the beautiful walks, the accessibility to shops and the highway, the pool, gym and beach club. The house was well stocked and exactly as described. The beds were very comfortable and the owners were easy to access and very friendly. We loved the morning sunrises with coffee on the deck, absolutely gorgeous! This was our second trip to the Big Island and we really enjoyed staying in this community further north of Kona.

Our group of 8 adults and two small children had an exceptional time here! The home is absolutely gorgeous and all of the amenities were good quality. The beds were extremely comfortable and there are plenty of restrooms and a beautiful master bath. Also, the lanai is an extension of the living room and we enjoyed beautiful sunrises and recreation time out on it. The KaMilo complex has great facilities and as part of the rental you get access to a wonderful private beach club with a perfect beach for families but we also found it to be great for snorkeling. Lastly, Jeannie and the KaMilo property staff were all great to engage with. Jeannie was very responsive to any questions or concerns we had and we would certainly love to stay here again the next time we're on the Big Island! Highly recommended!

Fabulous home in Ka Milo

Our stay in the Ka Milo neighbourhood was fabulous. We have rented several homes in Ka Milo and this new home met all our expectations. It is immaculate, beautifully decorated, meticulously maintained and fully equipped with an abundance of amenities (bicycles, snorkelling, games). The open spatious layout accommodates a large group and it has a very inviting and relaxing ambience. It was a perfect setting for our family of 5 adults. The view off the upper deck is stunning. The resort fitness centre and pools are very well maintained. The restaurant at the private beach is great and the resort is situated in an ideal location with great access to nearby restaurants. Both the Fairmont and Mauna Lani Spa and Tennis Club offer tennis clinics and reasonable rates for courts. Jeannie was very accessible and accommodating throughout our stay. We have already recommended this property to friends and family and look forward to a return visit.

Do yourself a favor and rent this house!

Our group of 6 stayed here for a week during our annual trip to Hawaii. The bedrooms were a perfect fit for us all and having 3.5 baths was very nice. The layout of the house is just perfect, we all had space and gathered in the main living area to play cards and hang out together. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need, pots and pans were great, everything very clean and in good working order. The lanai was a perfect place to relax and having the option of opening the sliding glass wall was so lovely in the evening. Grill on lanai worked great. The walk to the community pool/fitness center was under 5 minutes. Having access to the beaches nearby was a huge bonus. We were able to use the bikes in the garage and that was such a hit with the whole group. Also supplied are snorkels, boogie boards, beach towels, beach chairs and a cart to carry it all in. The house has everything you need. Communication with the owner was easy. I recommend 100% and would book the house again in a heartbeat. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here.

Fantastic Family Vacation

We truly had an amazing time in Hawaii. A big part of this was this home. Everyone loved the space. We had three couples. My wife and I had our two kids and our brother in law and wife had their new son. Grandma and Grandpa joined as well. With all the noise of kids it was never and issue if someone was still sleeping. House was super quiet. The view from the lanai was spectacular each morning with the sun rising over the volcanos. We love to cool and appreciated all the amenities in the kitchen. Access was super easy and they had all the necessary beach items that you can’t travel with. The beach access was perfect for our group. We rented a golf cart separately and loved having this for getting around. The pool down the street was perfect for our kids as an alternative to the ocean. The host was extremely responsive, prompt, and detailed in communication. I would highly recommend this home and if we return we’d book again!

this is a beautiful area, but it is a long distance from some sights of interest.

this area is beautiful, well maintained, but be sure to get gas, groceries etc before you leave Kona because it takes a lotof valuable time to make the trip in. we found beautiful beaches and fun restautants, mostly in Waimea for the restaurants.

Big Island Get Away

The house, property, and community were all first rate. The house was well furnished and clean, and comfortably slept four couples, and handled group dinners and dining with ease. The house also came with toys that made the trip even more pleasurable including beach chairs, boogie boards, and bicycles. The location was great, with view of the mountains, close walk to community pool and beach area, and conveniently located to roads for exploring the island. Had a great time and whole heartedly recommend this property for anyone's vacation central.
