Sleeping up to eight guests in four bedrooms this is a place to gather and raise a glass or two to memories past and to enjoy making some new ones. With a separate formal dining room with doors that open on to the garden, it is possible to bring the outside in while enjoying your meal. There is also a double bedroom on the ground floor, along with a ground floor walk-in shower room so if you have more mature guests they will never need to go upstairs, making this a great choice for three generations travelling together. As well as a lovely sociable living room, there is a snug with seating and a TV for younger guests, or the young at heart, who enjoy playing console games or just want to hang out with people more their own age. With all this at the Laurels it would be easy to assume that you will spend much of your break relaxing together on-site but venture a little further and you will find lots of great things to see and do.
In just over twenty minutes you will find yourself at the start of the stunning Norfolk coastline. Explore the rolling sand dunes in Heacham and build a sandcastle, paddle along the shoreline or go wild swimming. Off season, this is also one of the beaches the locals head to for bracing walks. A little further and you will be in Hunstanton, known locally as Sunny Hunny. Here you will find a wide, sandy beach and lots of traditional seaside attractions including a Sealife Centre. You can also take seasonal boat trips from here to explore the waters. Travel further along the coast and discover salt and clay marshes and picturesque quays all waiting to be explored. If history is your thing you are also in for a treat with the Sandringham, Holkham and Houghton estates and Peckover House all within easy reach. And nature lovers will enjoy trips to RSPB Snettisham and Welney Wetlands. And after working up an appetite you will be very pleased to discover that there are lots of great places to eat in the area, many of which serve seasonal local produce. There are also a range of family friendly chain eateries at a nearby retail park too. That is of course if you don’t want to hang out around the large island at the Laurels and cook in that lovely kitchen. You are sure to agree that this property is a great find!
