About the host

Hosted by Dr. Pam Page Carpenter

Host profile image
I am a native of Garner, NC. Garner has the feel of a small town, with great communities and people (Garner-known for Scotty McCreery) yet close to universities and the city. It's the best of both worlds. My Dad advocated for saving green space and farms and he purchased this land to save it from future development.

My husband Don and I look forward to being your hosts for your stay and want to ensure you enjoy your visit. We created this dog-friendly space since we travel with our dogs and always look for homes with a fenced in yard, safe community, and comfort.

Why they chose this property

The majority of this land was where Black Angus cows were raised and roamed the acres of pasture. The back section of the community next door is where tobacco was raised as part of the Rand farm. This was a large working farm back in its day.

What makes this property unique

Eco-friendly with bamboo floors, no VOC paint, raised dog beds and bowls await your four-legged family members.
New appliances-washer/dryer, refrigerator, stove/oven
Dog-friendly with fully fenced in yard
Rural setting yet close to small towns (Garner, Clayton, Fuquay) and downtown Raleigh
Eleven (11) miles to NC State
Close to restaurants, shopping, and dog friendly places
Lake Benson Park is a short drive from the bungalow for your four legged family members and you to explore
There's always something to do whether it's kayaking on the lake or down the river, hiking, festivals, exploring historic sites, brewery and winery tours-this area has an abundance of things to do and see.
