About this property

Mawnan is one of our delightful one bedroom properties, perfect for two people or a small family. Set in a row of six contemporary units just behind the original farm's stone courtyard, Mawnan has a sunny, open living room, modern kitchen and a mezzanine bedroom upstairs. The cottage is complete with all modern amenities to ensure a relaxing and peaceful holiday in the idyllic Cornish countryside.

Mawnan's living area has a large comfortable sofa, coffee table, TV and a dining table. The kitchen is fully equipped and includes a dishwasher, microwave and a washing machine. The shower bathroom is also on the ground floor.

The upstairs bedroom has a super-king sized double bed, plus pull out bed/s and a travel cot for 2 children under 10). This property also has air-con.

Guests will enjoy the wonderful large picture window. Guests can also enjoy a sunny front patio complete with small bistro table.

A hidden gem

Just had a wonderful stay in Mawnan at Tresooth Cottages for our anniversary. Tresooth really is a hidden gem with fantastic facilities that we took full advantage of during our stay and so dog friendly. The management team are so friendly and helpful. Can’t recommend it enough and will definitely be returning soon.

Great place to stay, comfortable and stylish accommodation in a rural setting near to Falmouth

Would recommend any of the cottages in the converted farm complex. Comfortable, well equipped, stylish interiors with good parking in a rural setting just a short drive from Falmouth, Penryn and the Helford river. Booking trouble free.

Another Lovely Stay at Tresooth

2nd time staying at Tresooth Cottages and 2nd time staying in Mawnan. I highly recommend both the cottage and the site, very clean and modern accommodation (internally), well equipped, truly a home from home. The Tresooth site is fantastic, peaceful yet close to towns and amenities when needed, wonderful communal swimming pool, hot tubs and sauna, and games room. An excellent place, especially if you have young children.

Tresooth Cottages was recently purchased by a group of friends, bringing together a combined 40 years of rental management and property development experience, plus expertise of being Airbnb Superhosts and VRBO Premier Partners in France, Spain and the USA. Our aim over the next two years is to upgrade the communal areas and each individual unit, employing modern design elements that remain sympathetic to the original Cornish buildings, while ensuring an excellent level of comfort and facility to our guests.

Why they chose this property

The group of five friends that recently purchased Tresooth are all British, but most of us have lived abroad for many years, developing our own individual property and rental businesses in France, Spain and the USA. Tresooth gave us the opportunity to pool all our knowledge and experience together back in our home country, as we focus our efforts towards this beautiful area of the UK. We are excited to bring our collective expertise to Tresooth, upgrading all the cottages and facilities over the next two years and offering guests a superior holiday experience.

What makes this property unique

Located just outside the quaint village of Mawnan Smith, Tresooth Cottages are a ten minute drive from the bustling port town of Falmouth. With some of the UK’s best beaches, water sports galore, a harbour and a thriving restaurant scene, the Falmouth area is one of the UK’s most sought after holiday destinations.

The Cottages themselves are situated four miles outside of Falmouth on the road towards the famous Helford River estuary, and close to the picturesque Trebah Gardens. Excellent cycle routes, dog walks and beautiful rambling paths are on the doorstep, offering guests both convenience and tranquility; the perfect spot to enjoy this area of quintessential Cornish countryside.

With the communal areas offering a large swimming pool, two hot tubs, a sauna, a games room, children’s play area and pet friendly accommodation, the facilities are a step above many of the other holiday cottages in the area.

There are 16 individual cottages at Tresooth, ranging in size from one bedroom units sleeping two, up to a four bedroom unit sleeping eight. The majority of bedrooms have ensuite bathrooms. Seven of the cottages are situated around the pretty central stone courtyard, with the remaining eight cottages to the rear or side of the courtyard area. Each cottage has its own outdoor seating area, and some have private hot tubs.
