This charming cottage with Free Wifi , full of character offers a unique setting for your rural holiday, built over a century ago with a spacious and cosy one level living area refurbished to include Internet access and satellite TV, a large open plan kitchen-dining room, comfortable lounge with fireplace and wood burner with spectacular sea and valley views. The cottage is ideal for couples wanting to escape or even for families up to six. There are two bedrooms, one with a large double bed and another with two twin beds, plenty of cupboard space available and a double sofa bed. Outside plenty of garden furniture, sun beds and BBQ - perfect for al fresco dining during the warmer months. There is also a shared Jacuzzi fpor you to use on the farm and the terrace leads into the cottage´s delightful rose garden with breathtaking views of the Orotava Valley and the Atlantic Ocean across to the island of La Palma. This casita is one of four tranquil rustic dwellings surrounded by Tenerife´s nature and vineyards boast a secluded picturesque location on the outskirts of the rural wine producing village of Palo Blanco, The original finca has recently been converted into unique properties waiting for you to discover the "Real Tenerife" . Que du bonheur !

La casita est magnifique et très bien placée pour visiter toute la partie nord de l'ile. On accède aussi rapidement à la route qui mène au Téide. La terrasse est grande et joliment aménagée, avec une vue imprenable sur la côte. Quant à l'accueil, rien à redire. Nous sommes arrivés tard le soir et Ingrid nous attendait pour nous guider.

Comfortabel huisje met prachtig uitzicht

Huisje ligt op de heuvels boven puerto de la cruz met uitzicht naar de zee. Is comfortabel, goed uitgeruste keuken. Het is onderdeel van een klein complex met nog 3 andere appartementen ernaast. Het ligt dus niet alleen. De communicatie met Lesley en Ingrid was heel prettig en gemakkelijk. De omgeving is prachtig. Het was erg warm voor maart. Het enige wat wij een beetje misten was een zwembad. Maar dat wisten we op voorhand. Echt een aanrader.

Hemos pasado allí 5 días con nuestros niños y volvemos encantados. Todo perfecto, solo hemos echado en falta un secador de pelo con más potencia. Mis niñas y yo tenemos el pelo largo y tardábamos muchísimo en secarlo. Por lo demás todo genial, una casa muy cómoda, el lugar espectacular y la gente súper amable. Seguro que repetiremos..

Ruhig gelegen mit tollem Blick über Puerto und die Nordküste

Entspricht der Beschreibung und hält was es verspricht. Absolutes Highlight war für uns der Whirlpool und der Kamin. Die Betreuung durch die Vermieterin war zu jedem Zeitpunkt gut.

Fantastischer Ausblick in gemütlicher Ferienwohnung. Absolute Empfehlung!

Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Ausstattung der sehr geräumigen Wohnung lässt keine Wünsche offen. Waschmaschine, Spülmaschine, Backofen, extra Handtücher für den Jacuzzi, Kamin, Zimmer mit Fußbodenheizung, bequeme Betten...Es fehlte wirklich an nichts. Das Grundstück wird von einem Tor eingefasst und es befinden sich noch drei? weitere Wohneinheiten darauf. Grandios ist zudem der Ausblick von der Terasse (und auch vom Sofa aus) hinab auf die Stadt und das Meer. Sowohl tagsüber, als auch abends ein Traum. Der Jacuzzi ist auch sehr zu empfehlen:) Er wird sich mit den anderen Mietern geteilt, wir haben dort aber nie jemanden angetroffen. Wir wurden bei Anreise von Marimar, einer Freundin der Gastgeberin und zudem Nachbarin an einer nahegelegenen Tankstelle abgeholt und zur Wohnung gebracht, wo uns alles erklärt wurde und eine Flasche Rotwein auf uns gewartet hat. Einen Abend haben wir über Lesley typisch kanarisches, hausgemachtes Essen bestellt. Wie sich herausstellte war Marimar die Köchin. Das Essen war großartig! Noch eimal vielen Dank an dieser Stelle und viele Grüße:) Ich glaube man hört es heraus: Wir waren absolut zufrieden und können eine uneingeschränkte Empfehlung aussprechen. Ein Mietwagen ist unerlässlich, aber so lässt sich alles in kurzen Zeit erreichen.

Fantastisch

Die Ferienwohnung ist sehr sauber, geschmackvoll eingerichtet und sehr gut ausgestattet. Ganz besonders begeistert hat uns natürlich die Terrasse mit dem wunderschönen Ausblick. Lesley ist eine super Gastgeberin. So haben wir uns rundum wohl gefühlt und werden bestimmt wieder kommen.

schöne Finca mit wunderschöner Aussicht

Die wunderschön am Hang gelegene Finca entsprach zu 100 % unseren Erwartungen. Die Räume sind gross und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Der Kaminofen mit genügend Holznachschub vor dem Haus hat uns jeden Abend auch im Januar eine wohlige Atmosphäre geschaffen. Auf der Terrasse konnten wir den weiten Blick in das Orotavatal geniessen. - Die Wohnung ist ausreichend ausgestattet. Sogar Bademäntel für die Nutzung des Jacuzzi waren vorhanden. - Wir würden hier noch einmal unseren Urlaub verbringen.

Schöne Lage über Porto de la Cruz

Die Casita la Gaga ist ein unabhängiger Teil eines Komplexes von 4 Wohnungen mit einer großen Terrasse, die nach Norden zeigt und im Winter eher im Schatten der Berge liegt. (Für Sonne gibt es außerhalb Tisch und Bänke fürs Frühstück etc. unter Palme.) Die Wohnung wurde gerade fertiggestellt, sozusagen Erstbezug, und ist jetzt trockengewohnt. Vier Personen haben eine großzügige Wohnung mit einem Schlafzimmer mit Blick aufs Meer, der zweite Schlafraum ist etwas klein und mit seinem klein geratenen Fenster ohne weitere Sicht nur zum Schlafen geeignet. Sehr große, offene Küche, gut ausgestattet für den durchschnittlichen Koch, mit großem Essbereich. Das Kaminzimmer ebenfalls groß mit schönem bodentiefen Fenster. Der Kaminofen ist im Winter prima (Holz wird immer ungefragt bereitgestellt), die zwei elektrischen Heizöfen in Zusammenarbeit mit einer Fußbodenheizung sorgen für ausreichende Raumtemperatur. Das Bad mit Dusche ist groß, innenliegend. Die Casita liegt in etwa 500 Meter Höhe über dem Meer und wird über Strassen erreicht, bei denen man zwischen fahrtechnisch anspruchsvollen und einfachen Strecken wählen kann. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten: kleiner Laden etwa 1 km, sehr selten geschlossen; Supermärkte (spanisch, französisch) in verschiedenen Sortimentqualitäten sowie Lidl etwa 8 Minuten mit dem Auto ebenso wie ein großes Einkaufszentrum mit allem an der Autobahnausfahrt 36. Bis dorthin ca. 12 Minuten Fahrt. Lesley trifft sich mit den Mietern an der Autobahnausfahrt, fährt dann vor und führt durch das Haus, gibt Ratschläge und Tipps, ist immer erreichbar (auch per Mail), lässt aber ansonsten den Urlauber in Ruhe. Alles unkompliziert, auch die Übergabe am Ende des Urlaubs. Ein ruhiger, sorgenfreier Urlaub. Mietwagen notwendig.

une agréable maison entre mer et montagne

Nous avons séjourné une dizaine de jours au début avril 2018 dans cette belle maison rurale de la superbe côte nord de l'ìle de Ténériffe. Côté face. Le logement est vaste, globalement confortable, un aménagement intérieur agréablement ancien dans un style rural, une très belle terrasse privative avec une vue époustouflante sur le coteau de la Orotava et la mer. La cuisine est fonctionnelle et très bien équipée. Linges de lit, de toilette et de plage fournis. Une bouteille de vin blanc nous attendait à l'arrivée. Le prix est tout fait correct. La mer est atteignable en une petite vingtaine de minutes, par une route un peu sinueuse, le volcan du Teide est à une petite heure de route de montagne. Côté pile, lors de notre séjour la météo a été assez bretonne à cette altitude, environ 600m, température plutôt fraiche, même froide (10-12 °) la nuit, ciel souvent couvert et un crachin assez tenace. Rien à redire, le propriétaire n'y peut rien, d'autant plus que cette météo était assez inhabituelle, même pour les insulaires. Heureusement, le bord de mer était d'ailleurs en général plus ensoleillé. Par contre cette météo a une influence sur l'intérieur de la maison, marquée par une humidité assez tenace, sensation un peu gênante, malgré la mise en marche du chauffage. Globalement une impression positive, mais probablement un logement plus destiné à l'été que dans l'intersaison.

Maison rustique

Nous avons passé un bon séjour malgré le temps assez peu clément. La maison est orientée au nord et ne reçoit pas beaucoup de soleil, pas assez pour chasser l'humidité dans la maison. Ceci dit, celle-ci reste donc fraîche, ce qui est agréable lorsqu'on fuit les grosses chaleurs. La maison est bien équipée, mais le canapé devrait être réparé, ainsi que le lit bébé et la baignoire. La maison et surtout le jardin ne sont pas très adaptés pour des jeunes enfants, pas non plus pour des amoureux car il n'y a pas de lit double. Ceci dit, la vue est vraiment magnifique.

Einsames Domizil mit Ausblick

Unsere Woche in der Finca war leider geprägt von düsterem Wetter, aber es ist für uns Flachlandcowboys sehr schön, in den Wolken aufzuwachen. Der Blick auf Puerto de la Cruz war großartig, während man auf der Terrasse die süße Katze kraulen konnte. Das Haus ist toll eingerichtet und der Parkplatz vor der Tür groß genug für alle Einwohner beider Häuser. Das Personal kümmert sich gut um das Anwesen.

A beautiful house in the hills overlooking Puerto de cruz

When we first arrived at night it was cloudy and cold. The inside temperature of the house was 18 degrees. Once we worked out how to turn on the heating this helped! The temperature and weather improved over the week and this was when staying in the casa became much more enjoyable. The house itself is lovely with great views and all possible mod cons you can think of. We never met Lesley but she was contactable when needed. I would recommend this house especially to hikers/ people who want to be away from it all as it is quite far away from Puerto de la cruz and bars/restaurants. Although this is a nice house I wouldn't go back at this time of year purely because it's quite a bit colder than i expected - about 4 degrees colder than the coast. Everything else was good.

Quiet & relaxing

The cottage was as good as we had hoped, spacious, well furnished and well maintained, we had no issues while we were there, but have no doubt that they would of been dealt with immediately, if we had. If you are looking for a quiet base, away from the towns, I would not hesitate to recommend it. A few points worth noting, temp is 4-5c lower than in the town below, so, if cloudy, can be quite cool to sit outside. Only English language channels are CNN, Fox News and BBC world news. Thank you Lesley, for a wonderful stay.

Lovely little hideaway with everything we needed to have a relaxed holiday.

Property was ideal for us, comfortable and well appointed with everything we could have needed. Well situated for exploring north Tenerife, although some of the steep roads a bit scary. Top tip s to get a proper road map and not rely on GPS or google maps as they will take you the steepest hills. Driving generally fine though. House itself is in a wee compound so felt very peaceful, lovely views over Puerto while sitting in back garden. Avocado trees and grape vines all around. Previously the owner had stayed in house adjoining but this was now rented out. Lesley did come to see us and gave us excellent tips and helpful info and the small issues we encountered while there were immediately dealt with when we contacted her. She was very helpful in emails before hand as well. We never made it up Mt Teide due to ice and snow ( we were enjoying 20-25 degrees over Xmas) and also didn't have time to do some other things we had planned so we definitely want to return toN Tenerife. We visited a resort ( Los Gigantes) for a day and it was fine but not for us, so much more to he island than what the resorts offer. We would definitely stay in the Puerto area again.

I had a peaceful and quiet holiday which was just what I wanted. The cottage is set in beautiful surroundings with wonderful views. It is vital to have a car to access the island. The cottage had everything you need and was very comfortable.

Schönes Haus in ganz und gar wunderbarer Lage am Hang oberhalb Puerto de la Cruz

Großzügig und liebevoll eingerichtet bis hin zum funktionierenden Kamin. Küche komplett, schöne Terrasse mit Blick über Weinberge auf den Atlantik, sauber. Lediglich die etwas muffige Feuchte im Schlafzimmer trübte den ansonsten tadellosen Eindruck. Lesley ist zudem eine sehr freundliche und umsichtige Vermieterin. Die Fahrt von Puerto de la Cruz bis zum Haus geht hoch in Richtung der Berge in den Ort Palo Blanco (Fahrzeit ca. 10-15 Minuten - ein eigener Wagen ist zwingend erforderlich!). In dem Örtchen ist praktisch nichts los und man hat wirklich viel Ruhe. Andererseits ist es ein sehr guter Ausgangspunkt für das Erforschen des nördlichen Inselbereichs. Wir waren 5 Tage dort und würden es jederzeit wieder buchen.

Schöne, ruhige finke abseits des Touristenrummels

Das Ferienhaus ist gut ausgestattet, mit allem, was man braucht. Waschmaschine, Grill, Liegen usw. sind vorhanden. Die Vermieterin Lesley ist sehr nett und hat uns gute Tipps gegeben. Man sollte aber etwas Englisch sprechen und verstehen. Wichtig ist, dass man einen Mietwagen hat. Parkplatz ist auf dem Anwesen vorhanden.

Rural quality

An excellent holiday cottage next to the owners property . Secure , good facilities and excellent views . Lesley was a superb hostess .She was very helpful but only when asked . The directions were good and the area interesting . We ate in and ate out to a high standard The only improvement I would suggest is a large double bed rather than two singles . Nevertheless , I have already recommended the property to relatives and friends .
