Meadow Hide - Amazing !

Second time we have stayed here and would highly recommend it. Place is absolutely beautiful, so quiet and peaceful and the views are amazing. House itself it beautifully done up and loads of space for three people even one in a wheelchair. Great stay and thank you again.

A Perfect Peaceful Break

We had a lovely two night stay in Meadow Hide. It was cosy, clean and well equipped. The hot tub was a great bonus plus the swings! The setting was so peaceful but was close to lots of things to do. Will definitely come back another time.

V nice but not luxury

Nice enough lodge but lacks cupboards in bedrooms (no where to put clothes besides some hanging space) & no dishwasher, also felt mean with crockery & cutlery (3 wine glasses & 4 spoons etc)

A cosy retreat

Meadow Hide is a real gem. On the edge of the other properties, overlooking the meadow it feels tranquil and private. The open plan living area has the wow factor with lots of light from the glass panel in the roof and the large corner windows. The place was spotlessly clean and had everything you could want for a relaxing visit. The covered outdoor decking area off the main bedroom was great for sitting out in while it was raining under a cosy blanket (of which there are plenty dotted around the property!). We also enjoyed sitting in the hot tub looking at the stars. The whole place is spacious and beautifully decorated with a nature theme, special mention to the beautifully hand painted birds and insects dotted around the place…they were beautiful. Sarah popped round shortly after we arrived to check everything was ok and give us some pointers on things to do in the local area. It was lovely to meet her and we felt that if any problems had arisen during our stay she would have been on hand to help. We are so pleased to have found this place and will definitely be going back!

Relaxing break

Meadow hide is a very comfortable place to stay and we had a lovely time visiting beaches, going for walks with amazing views and walking to the local pubs for a bite to eat. It was also lovely to sit in the hot tub listening to the birds, owls hooting and the deer rutting

Lovely Stay in West Sussex

Overall, the holiday was wonderful, the cabin was great and had all we needed for a nice stay. I do have some improvements and feedback, however. - The apartment has very little insulation, so it was very hot for the first 3 days, difficult to sleep - The rear terrace was not used as much as we would have liked, the swing chairs are not practical and really uncomfortable. They need to be high to see but this makes them difficult to sit in. Be good for the handrail to be lower to give a view on normal seats and add a sleep hammock - The trees and hedge outside the window obscure the view of the meadow and make deer watching difficult, couldn’t understand what they were planted for. - The view from the hot tub is also obscured by the fence, I think it would be better to have a full wire fence and extend the garden into the meadow a little, this would make it feel less claustrophobic - Shower water wasn’t very warm, but it was fine on a hot summers day like we had - Be nice to have access to woodland or a footpath without walking on the dangerous road. No dog walk area other than campsite - Frying pan needs replacing it sticks pretty bad and took me a while to clean.

Another fantastic stay

This was our second time visiting Meadow Hide and once again it was brilliant. Lovely lodge in a fantastic location, with fantastic walks for the lodge. Added benefit of the meadow being full of wildlife

Wonderful stay

Really enjoyed this lodge. Great interiors and very cosy. In a wonderful location for lots of different activities. We had an issue with our hot tub whilst we stayed and it was sorted ASAP with no inconvenience. Looking forward to staying again in the future.

Unique place to stay

Meadow Hide is a unique place, in part because of its location overlooking the meadow and in part because of the aesthetics of the place. We were able to see plenty of wildlife, various birds, deer including a mother with a fawn who was still feeding from her. A very special moment. As others have mentioned there is some road noise from the nearby A27, but that quickly became unobtrusive. We liked the proximity to the dark sky reserve, amazing night skies when we were there. Meadow Hide is very comfortable, big squashy sofas, large windows and skylights. The bed was large and comfortable. Cleanliness was impeccable. Everything we needed for cooking was there. There was information about places to visit and we had a lovely welcome from Sarah who explained local walks and places to go. We didn’t use the hot tub nor the outdoor spaces as the weather was a bit too cool but they looked clean and well maintained. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Early autumn break

Well appointed lodge in a quiet meadow setting. The hot tub was a welcome treat after a days walking around Chichester harbour. Walking on the road for any distance not recommended. We would come again!

A Lovely Return Visit

This was our second stay at Meadow Hide and it was just as lovely as the first. Spotlessly clean and very comfortable the owners really have provided everything you could need for a relaxing and enjoyable stay. During some inclement weather we enjoyed sitting under the covered veranda off the main bedroom and also enjoyed some calm evenings in the hot tub watching the deer wander past and catching glimpses of owls. There are a lot of things to do in the local area and Meadow Hide is a welcome place to return to at the end of the day.

Fabulous family stay - very special place!

We recently stayed at Meadow Hide as a family of 3 with our baby & golden retriever & had such a lovely time. We loved spotting deer from the terraces & windows & the interior design finishes on the inside made the space feel so luxurious & unique, that it was a pleasure to stay in & enjoy some family time. The hot tub was lovely in the evenings after our little one went to bed but we also found there was so much to do during the day, as it was very dog / family friendly locally too. Some of the plates & bowls were a bit mismatched but that would be the only small thing to improved upon, otherwise Sarah was a lovely helpful host & we wouldn’t hesitate to rebook!

Just the peaceful break we needed

We stayed due to the proximity to Goodwood (we went to the Goodwoof dog show) but the accommodation surpassed our expectations. We will definitely return.

Lovely time

We spent a very pleasant long weekend here. Loved the hot tub, especially because with being positioned as set into the decking it was so easy to climb in and out! Sofas declared the most comfortable ever! Really loved the little covered veranda with the swinging chairs! A shame that the only access is through the bedroom. The deer provided evening and early morning entertainment but alas no owls. Bosham best place for bacon batch whilst watching the tide come in. Thanks for a relaxing couple of days.

Long weekend at Meadow Hide

Very enjoyable and hospitable, with lots of wildlife to observe and a wonderful hot tub facility. Maybe a little bit too much road/rail noise as we'd anticipated a slightly more rural setting, but still restful and restorative nonetheless. Sarah was very considerate and helpful and friendly. Great for our two dogs also. Would definitley consider returning. For one of the party the pillows were a little harder than usually used at home

Lovely Place

Generally a lovely cabin and the host was very communicative and helpful. Would note the cushions are feathers which hit my allergies but that's just a note for us! Was a bit closer to the other properties than realised but well set up so never really heard anyone else. Best if you have a car as train station walk was basically just along the road (though if less muddy, probably another route available). Generally though, lovely space that was well stocked, comfortable, and quiet.

Stay at Meadow Hide

Meadow Hide is a wonderful cosy cottage overlooking fields containing deer and other wildlife. We had a lovely stay, the hosts were very communicative and friendly. We arrived to a lovely welcome package including a full set up for our dog (inc. treats!). The property was extremely well maintained and it was very cosy to curl up in front of the log burner.

Beautiful Cabin in peaceful spot

We enjoyed 5 days here on a last minute break. The cabin is beautifully and thoughtfully decorated and designed. The hot tub and deck off the main bedroom are also well designed and encourage relaxation. Couldn't fault the property and Sarah was a great host; available and responsive but not overbearing. Would highly recommend a stay at Meadow Hide or one of the adjacent properties.

Bijou, fine for a weekend break.

Private, gated rural sussex location, nicely appointed luxury 2-bedroom cabin. Well equipped incl WiFi (no dishwasher) & well heated/insulated. Bijou, but fine for a weekend break. Convenient parking for 2 cars adjacent. Winery tours at nearby Ashling Park & sea views over tidal bay 5-mins drive away in village (check the tide times). Good cafe’s nearby, reasonable pub choice for Sunday Lunch & plenty of outdoor things to do in the South Downs. In the property, with windows open, or sitting outside in the hot tub or swing seats there is distant A27 road-noise. The road is quieter than the birdsong but is constant. My husband is exceptionally noise sensitive, slept poorly & cut his stay short. My teenager & I were happily oblivious. Fine for “normal” people. Not so good for those with super-sensitive hearing.

Relaxing break

We found Meadow Hide to be a very relaxing, comfortable escape from our hectic lifestyle. Watching the deer graze, play and wander through the meadow was magical along with the foxes and birdlife. The property was very clean and the welcoming bubbles and chocolate a thoughtful gesture. The dogs also enjoyed their doggy treats. Whiling away time in the hot tub was a treat following walks through the local woods having had a pint in a local pub. The information sent prior to departure was very informative and the warm welcome received shortly after arrival was helpful. Would certainly recommend staying at Meadow Hide.
