We arrived in late afternoon and Vito was there to greet us and escort us in to park. Very secure parking, necessary in Campagnia! The apartment was just as pictured with the beautiful Vitri sur mar tile. Picture window view was fabulous. While we were there there were some storms rolling in watching the waves crash on the breakwater was impressive. The first day we wanted to take the train to Pompei and Vito offered to take us to the train station which was a great help on the first day to get orientated. We suggested 9 and came out and he was already waiting with the car. Gave us great suggestions on 2 restaurants within 500 meter of apartment on the water. Excellent and reasonably priced. Do not miss the pasticeria just across the street and around the corner for best rum baba in world like 20 varieties plus unlimited other taste treats to try. Have a coffee the lady at counter is a trip The second day we wanted went to Naples on the train for the National museum for the Farnese statuary collection not to be missed. Also the Duomo and a pizza at Da Michelle and just the experience of the streets of Naples. It was Christmas time and Salerno is famous for its Christmas light display That second day Vito took us to the train again. We suggested 9 againI was embarrassed because we were a little late getting out and Vito was waiting there. Great base to explore the Amalfi coast! Fast train to Naples 37 minutes and Pompei less.
