About this property

Host & Stay | Harvest Cottage

Summary:
Harvest Cottage is a welcoming place to stay when holidaying in Sewerby. Whether you’re travelling as a small group of friends or with family, this is the perfect getaway for four. A home from home, Harvest Cottage will provide memories to treasure.

Harvest is situated in a Mediterranean style courtyard along with the following cottages - Horseshoe, Kibbletree, Martingale, Martinmas, May, Low Barn, Old Stable, Swingletree & The Granary. Please give our team a call to enquire about availability.

The Space:
Harvest Cottage has a stylish living room with a flat screen TV and two sofas making it the ideal place to unwind with your loved ones. Carpeted flooring and a neutral colour scheme make this a really cosy place to relax.

Also sharing this space is the kitchen diner. Fully equipped for self-catering stays, the kitchen has modern appliances and cookware. The dining area includes a dining table with matching benches.

Outside there is a large communal yard area with outdoor furniture so you can relax and enjoy the fresh air during your stay. Whilst outdoors, admire the 300-year-old olive tree which is located in the centre of the courtyard.

Upstairs on the first floor, you’ll find two bedrooms and the family bathroom. The master bedroom has a comfortable double bed and the second room is a twin.

The family bathroom has a bath with an overhead shower, as well as a WC and basin.

Outside, the cottage has its own private patio which leads into the central Mediterranean-style courtyard and common areas. The central feature of the courtyard is a 200-year-old Olive tree set in a raised circular flower bed. Within the courtyard are designated private garden areas, with private patios surrounded by raised flower beds, each with an abundance of shrubs, seasonal flowers, and palms. Dusk till dawn automated exterior mood lighting to set the scene around the grounds.

The Neighborhood:
Grange Farm is situated on the beautiful Flamborough Headland Heritage Coast at Sewerby, mid-way between the seaside town of Bridlington and the quiet fishing village of Flamborough, as well as Bempton Village with its world-famous RSPB seabird colony.

Sewerby is Bridlington’s premier coastal village. Head to one of the most popular attractions in the East Riding of Yorkshire, Sewerby Hall, which is a grade 1 listed building and also home to the Museum of East Yorkshire.

Within the village you’ll find The Ship Inn serving freshly prepared food throughout the day and the beer garden has brilliant sea views. If you’re after a refreshing drink in the summer then Blu Savannah is the place to go for hot and cold drinks, as well as ice creams.

Sewerby is popular with walkers, and especially those wanting to visit Bempton Cliffs – a RSPB Nature Reserve which has been proposed for the UNESCO Geopark.

Head into Bridlington and walk along the elegant promenade or relax on the sandy beach. You could also choose the visit the historic harbour and take a trip on the Yorkshire Belle. For the younger generations, they can tire themselves out at the seafront funfair or at the amusements. Donkey rides are also on offer in Bridlington.

For a touch of nostalgia don’t miss the wonderful Old Town where Dad’s Army was filmed. The Old Town has managed to keep its quaint personality providing a delightful selection of shops and cafes.

Getting Around:
Bridlington train station has direct routes to Scarborough, Hull, Sheffield and Doncaster. A number of connecting routes can also be found from these stations so getting to other locations around the UK could not be easier.

Hop on the 14 bus in Sewerby and you’ll have easy access to Bridlington and the pretty village of Flamborough.

Interaction with Guests:
We’re always available for our guests so please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
