Wonderful Stay

We had such a wonderful trip. Everything was perfect. Stunning interior design, amazing history, all the tech you need, really well insulated building so rarely needed to use the abundant a/c. Our hosts delivered occasional lovely treats. I painted, floated on the (provided) air beds in the gently salted pool- I’m a convert- it’s much better on you skin than chlorine. In all- Wonderful!

Op haar verjaardag stond Regina ons ondanks de vertraging van de vlucht te woord.Met de buitendouche was verrassing groot en het uitzicht nog mooier dan op de foto’s. Fijne keuken met alles erop en eraan. We keken voetbal op de smart tv toen Nederland moest voetballen. Met 6 volwassenen was voor elke slaapkamer douche en toilet erg prettig. De airco hielp om het fris te houden zowel op slaapkamers en woonkamer/ keuken. Matrassen waren wel anders dan gewend.Het zwembad was heerlijk en met de ligbedjes en ligstoelen hebben we lekker kunnen relaxen. Dagje Porto gedaan, dagje Port proeven bij de Douro rivier aan de N222. Gefietst op de geasfalteerde spoorlijn vanuit het dorp, met de fietsen van Regina en Alberto. Het landgoed met alle fruitbomen was ook de moeite waard, en de wijn van Alberto was heerlijk.Advies over restaurants gekregen die heerlijk eten serveerden. Fijne bakker, kleine supermarkt op loopafstand. We hebben genoten van de gastvrijheid van Regina en Alberto. Kortom een geweldig verblijf gehad.
