About this property
Lovely Home w/ Parking & Garden, Sidmouth
Summary:
This light and bright family house is located on a quiet cul-de-sac within easy reach of Sidmouth beach. Inside, all has been finished to a high standard with contemporary mod cons and new appliances.
The Space:
The spacious, modern kitchen is located at the front of the house, boasting stylish grey and white units as well as high-end appliances. You will find a four-ring induction hob and oven, large double-door fridge freezer with water dispenser, sleek stainless steel sink as well as a microwave, Nespresso coffee machine and dishwasher. It’s a joy to cook up leisurely holiday feasts!
The homely living room and striking dining space are located at the back of the house, catching most of the day’s sun. Cuddle up on the sofa after busy day’s out exploring, with a film on the 4k Smart TV (there are ample apps to use). Lovely touches have been added throughout, such as house plants and artwork to ensure you feel as comfortable and at home as possible! The dining room is a beautiful space and the real heart of it all, with lofted ceilings and exposed wooden beams adding lots of character. Large double doors lead straight out into the garden too, which is well-maintained. There is a patioed area at the back which also features a luxurious corner sofa where you can enjoy dinner on the barbecue (The BBQ is available for use from April to October). A children’s area has also been added, with a set of slides and seesaw.
The house sleeps five in total and is perfect for young families looking to escape to the coast. The master bedroom boasts a king-size bed, as well as ample storage space for clothes. There is also an en-suite bathroom with a shower. An additional family bathroom can be found across the landing, with both a shower and bath. A lilac bedroom has twin beds whilst the nautical-themed bedroom has a single twin. Children are bound to love all the playful touches, whilst the quiet neighbourhood will ensure they sleep soundly at night! Free parking for two is available on the driveway. Please note this is a family home aimed at family getaways and holidays, we are not able to accommodate commercial bookings.
This lovely home is located on a quiet cul-de-sac on the outskirts of Sidmouth. The surrounding neighbourhood is peaceful and quiet, perfect for young families. That said, Sidmouth beach and the town itself is all within a short 7 minute drive so it's incredibly easy to get around.
There are a number of amenities right on the doorstep: a Waitrose and Lidl supermarket, Stowford Play Area, Kings Garden Centre with cafe and pubs. In Sidmouth itself, there is so much to explore. Known as the gateway to the Jurassic Coast, the town is located in the heart of East Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It has all the classic appeal of a traditional English seaside resort, with pretty architecture and an independent charm. It is also home to two beaches, both of which are clean and safe for bathing. Sidmouth Beach is a family-friendly stretch of sand and shingle which has great on-site facilities and lifeguards on duty during the summer. Jacobs Ladder also features long stretches of sand and shingle and rock pools at low tide. Both are beautiful bases to use throughout the summer!
Amongst the surrounding countryside you will also find a great range of attractions and activities that the whole family can enjoy. A firm favourite with visitors is the Sidmouth Donkey Sanctuary, home to over 500 rescue donkeys and the largest sanctuary of its kind. The brilliant South West Coast Path can also be picked up from the coastline and offers fantastic walking. This leads to the picturesque villages of Branscombe and Beer or, in the opposite direction, Ladram Bay and Budleigh Salterton. Walking offers an amazing chance to explore the Jurassic coast, with the striking red cliffs and diverse wildlife!
Each year, Sidmouth hosts a vibrant calendar of events and festivals. In June the town comes alive with the Literary Festival, while August sees the Sidmouth Folk Festival in full swing. Local bands, dancers and storytellers taking over pubs and pavements - it is a truly joyful event. You can also experience the Sidmouth Sea Fest, Red Arrows, Regatta, Sidbury Fair, Science Festival and more!
