About this property
Delightful cottage just steps from Kenmare town
A charming 3 bedroom cottage in Kenmare town with complete privacy and tranquility yet literally steps from all the shops, pubs and restaurants that Kenmare is famous for. This is a newly refurbished house - stylish yet cosy and comfortable. A real haven. Wifi is available free of charge to all guests.
Downstairs is the kitchen cum dining room. There is a small kitchen table with 4 chairs as well as a larger dining table to seat 6 people. This room opens into the lovely welcoming sitting room with open fire, SMART TV, Wireless Audio Speaker and DVD player. There is a 3 seater couch, a two seater as well as an armchair so plenty of comfortable seating. You can close the sitting room off from the dining room/ kitchen area using the dividing doors - perfect for the evening time when you just want to relax and curl up snug in the sitting room in front of the blazing open fire.
Patio doors lead from the dining area out to the pretty garden with lovely plants and green grass. There is a patio area with garden furniture and parasol. A gate closes off the side of the garden making it fully enclosed - ideal for keeping younger guests safe!
There is a guest toilet downstairs.
Upstairs are the three bedrooms. The master double bedroom offers wonderful views from the velux windows towards the surrounding mountains. It has an ensuite shower room. The second bedroom has a small double bed suitable for only 1 person, and the third has twin beds. The main bathroom is upstairs and features an impressive bath along with a separate shower.
Set within a small private cul de sac with just 8 houses and accessed by an electric gate ensuring privacy and security during your stay.
KENMARE
Kenmare is known as the jewel in the Ring of Kerry and no wonder with its location between two of the most beautiful touring routes in Europe - the Ring of Kerry and the Ring of Beara. These make for very enjoyable day trips from Kenmare.
Kenmare is a designated Heritage Town of Ireland and the town offers a huge selection of places of historical interest to visit. Even strolling around the town is itself a pleasure with Kenmare having received awards from Entente Floral and the award for the Tidiest Town in Ireland in the year 2000. Kenmare was recently awarded the accolade of Ireland's best kept town on the whole island of Ireland and deservedly so!
There is a Playground in Kenmare. This is about a 15 minute walk from the Cottage.
Killarney is a 40 minute drive and Cork City is just over an hour's drive.
DINING & NIGHTLIFE
The town of Kenmare, noted for having the cleanest air in Europe, is a mecca for some of the finest restaurants in Ireland. You really will be spoilt for choice when it comes to dining out, from bar food to seafood and a range of other types of excellent restaurants to experience. The nightlife in Kenmare suits all ages and the hospitality with which you will be greeted is second to none. There is a great selection of pubs and late night bars to choose from with many featuring live music from traditional Irish to rock and modern styles.
