The house is on 3 acres with ocean views, in a safe gated community. We live on the property in the attached in-law suite so someone is always there if you require anything. We are 20 minutes from town.

I thoroughly enjoyed my time at this property. It was exactly as described and pictured. I plan to return. It's so quiet and peaceful yet close (by car) to many activities. The house is spacious and comfortable, and provided a relaxing space after busy days of exploring the area.

We really enjoyed our stay. A little bit of a pity it is so far off the main drag. But then it is very quiet which is a bonus. Value for money methinks. Loved all the animals and birds around the place. Bunnies and birdies. Deer and a humminbird of all things. Great kitchen, plenty of hot water and the spa was awesome after a big day out in the bush.

What a great place to stay!

The home is in a quiet area with the most amazing view of the night sky. We saw deer and rabbits in the yard and heard the birds in the surrounding woods. The kitchen is well equipped, the beds are comfy and the bathroom is big. At the end of a busy day it's so easy to settle in and relax there, either watching a movie in the living room or lounging on the patio watching the stars. The hosts are wonderful and very helpful with info about the home and on what to do in the surrounding areas. We would definitely stay there again.

Great little place up on the hill

Very clean. Pictures matched what place was. A little bit of a drive from qualicum beach area but worth it to get away from the “city” feel! So quiet! Host easy to get ahold of. Lots of dishes / pots and pans etc Could use with some basic supplies like Saran Wrap and little plastic baggies but did have tin foil. Even saw a beautiful deer in the back yard! Would come back

Things needed

The home could use another couch or a couple recliners, as there is only 1 couch. Could also use a BBQ, some big knives that are sharp. One of the rooms could really use a king size bed the queens are just too small. Otherwise if that was all changed i would stay there again for sure. Very quiet.

We really enjoyed our stay at Valerie’s home. It was clean and comfortable and filled all of our needs. I really enjoyed meeting Valerie and her son. Very friendly. We hope to return next year.

Beautiful secluded island stay

The property was about 20 minutes off the main roads but the peaceful, private nature of the property was perfect for our stay. Suite was very clean, cutely decorated, had basic amenities and felt like home. Kids loved their room with the two twin beds and adult rooms were cozy and comfortable. Spacious area for a party of 4 to share. Would highly recommend.

Very nice spot if you want quiet seclusion

Nice place well laid out, well stocked with everything you need. Host was very responsive, enjoyed our stay. It is about 20 minutes out of town. Would go back.

It is very difficult to find a place with four beds, this was a jewel. 3 bedrooms one with two single beds, well appointed, about 20 minutes drive to a centre for shopping and to the beach. One bed is extra firm.

Great proximity to Little Qualicum Falls. Good size bedrooms, kitchen and living room. Enjoyed sitting outside in the back yard. Property manager was very helpful, but floors could have been cleaner. Would definitely come back!

A few upgrades needed

The bedrooms were nice. The beds comfortable. The only things really lacking in the kitchen were a kettle and a scrubber for the dishes. The living room was large but only one small couch and a small chair so nowhere for 3 people to lounge comfortably . The place really needs a manual to tell you how to turn on fans, lights, etc..

Meets your needs.

The property and area was very clean and met your basic needs. The host was receptive and even assisted with a very late check-in. The property is a lengthy drive away from anything but the drive had a nice mountain scenery. The bare essentials were provided but that is all.

Quiet and Comfortable

Our stay was lovely. Accommodation was very quiet, clean and everything was comfortable. A couple of minor repairs needed which we were made aware of by owner so it wasn't a problem at all. Note that local places of interest and the ocean are about a 30 min drive but if you're just looking for a quiet get away of good value, our group of ladies highly recommend this property.

Great place

We enjoyed our stay here and fit our needs perfectly. We needed a place with 3 bedrooms at a reasonable price and this fit my group during our 2 night stay. I would definitely come back. The lock is a bit temperamental but once we figured out the trick to it (a slight gentle push when it engages) we were able to come and go easily. Communication with the owner was clesr and well done. We enjoyed watching the deer wander tbrough the yard and the birds popping around. Thanks for the good holiday.
