Our own family's home-from-home and 'escape to the country' in the peaceful and scenic hills of southern Snowdonia. We have mountain views from the windows, walks from the doorstep and also good access to towns and the beach. The house is in a quiet and peaceful location, far from the bustle of life. You will not be disturbed, except from occasional visits from the farmer coming to tend his sheep. With full oil fired central heating plus wood burning stoves, the house is warm. It is well equipped with amenities and a broadband connection to the internet. The house is also in line-of-sight to a 4G transmitter/receiver should you need it. Because the house is remote, we're not currently able to offer bed linen and towels, so you will need to bring your own. The advantage is that you will know the quality of linen that you will be using. There are plenty of duvets and pillows for all beds at the house.

We had a great week here, beautiful area with great views! The house was reasonably well equipped, although bed sheets and kitchen tea towels etc would have been a bonus (this was clearly stated before booking so no complaints, it would just make the overall rating higher if these were provided!) House was clean but slight damp smell in some rooms. Might also be useful to emphasise the long and uneven track to get to the house, caused some slight damage to one of our cars so take care whilst driving as it is quite bumpy! We also could not find a drying machine as advertised on the description. Overall, a lovely stay in this peaceful house! Would love to return
We stayed for a week as a family of four plus my parents and had a wonderful break. The cottage is up a long dirt track which lead to lovely views of the lake and surrounding countryside. There was plenty of room for the six of us and basic plates/cutlery for our stay. Bathroom is downstairs, and upstairs large bedrooms with comfortable beds. We took our own linen, towels, soaps, kitchen ingredients, tin foil etc. and we were happy to clean at the end of our stay (and it keep the costs lower on this rental). It's a basic provision in a cottage which is a bit damp (Wales is wet and lush) but it gave us a lovely get away. We climbed Snowdon, visited Harlech and Barmouth, Portmadog, zipworld and bounce below, went Canyoning, paddleboarding and on Bala railway. All within an hours drive (or much less). Local shops have takeaways, shops, pubs etc There is more further out and every drive/walk is through the most beautiful countryside. Thank you so much Jonathon and Michelle for hosting us.
