Wonderful stay
We had such a wonderful stay at the Old Coach House. Jane is a wonderful host. She was very welcoming and we found a basket in the kitchen with all sorts of tasty regional food and snacks. The cottage is very cozy, the kitchen is very well equipped, the bathroom is very spacious and the bedrooms were very comfortable. We stayed with our family of five and our dog who also had an amazing time running around the fields just at the back of the housse. The surroundings are amazing for long walks. We would surely recommend this gem of a place! And hopefully be back some day...

Why they chose this property

Approached down an easily accessed private driveway on Easole Street in the Nonington conservation zone, the Old Coach House is reached through your own gated courtyard with private parking for two cars. Guests have access to the whole house, front courtyard and beautful flower filled private back garden and of course the beautiful East Kent countryside beyond.

What makes this property unique

The Coach House is set in the beautiful conservation zone of Nonington in the beautiful county of Kent, home to the North Downs way, perfect walking, biking and hiking country as well as golf and sea fishing. There is a tremendous amount to do around here, with the coast so close, with its fabulous beaches, and the historic City of Canterbury only a fifteen minute drive. Should you wish to stay closer to home, go through the gate at the bottom of the garden, and you will find a footpath leading onto the meadow and beyond and wonderful walks. And while out for a walk why not try our friendly local pub the Griffin's Head for great home cooked food and a fantastic and varied wine list, or venture further afield....most of the local picturesque villages have a warm and welcoming pub with menus full of local produce. Fantastic fish and shellfish can be bought in Deal, if you go early enough you can buy the catch of the day straight from the boats, or meander down to Gibsons, the farm shop, where the local farmer showcases his produce. Visit the farm on the way to the historic town of Sandwich, approx three miles away, for freshly cut asparagus or newly picked cherries when its the season (June and July). We really are right in the heart of Garden of England with fantastic local product, wonderful orchards, vineyards, and beautiful quintessentially English views from every corner. Whatever the season, for those looking to get away from the crowd, Nonington is the place... dont forget to visit the beautiful gardens, castles, beaches and other local attractions. English Heritage has many fabulous places in the area.
