The National Sailing School, an Olympic legacy, is approximately two miles away on the edge of Portland Harbour and offers a wide range of water activities. The Fleet Lagoon, which flows between Wyke Regis and Chesil Beach, is an important nature refuge, with many types of birds to be observed, and Chesil Beach is also a popular fishing place.
