About this property

Cedar Lodge, High Kelling, Norfolk

An outstanding contemporary holiday hideaway, discreetly located in a peaceful, well-established residential area in High Kelling, on the outskirts of the Georgian town of Holt. Set in extensive private gardens, this superb retreat showcases architectural treats that blend perfectly with stylish interior design. With exceptional spatial design this fabulous lodge embraces modern, social living yet provides intimate, cosy areas and essential practical space too.

This superb American-style open-plan airy cedar clad detached property is set over two floors with the emphasis being on the lateral ground floor space which, from the entrance hall, flows around a glazed, planted atrium. Guests are spoilt for choice with living areas; there are three different sofa seating areas in which to relax. Two offer a cosier option that perhaps lend themselves to cooler times of the year when settling down to the watch television in the evening is on the cards. The third one is more suited for the summer months and sunny days as it forms one end of the spectacular triple aspect garden room where floor to ceiling glazing and frameless sliding doors run its full length and overlook the sun terrace, blending the garden and living space to become one. It would be rather lovely to sit here and gaze on a starry, starry night too! Should someone in the party need a private space to study or 'work from home' while on holiday, there's a separate dual aspect home office tucked away in a quiet corner too. Enthusiastic cooks will appreciate the superbly equipped fitted kitchen with Shaker cabinets, quartz worktops, vast central island and full suite of appliances, and will be sure to relish in preparing a delicious feast of fresh local produce for all to share and enjoy while sat around the table in this lovely, sociable entertaining space, catching up on the day's events and maybe planning tomorrow's. Off the hallway is the master bedroom, served by a luxurious en-suite shower room, offering a perfect solution for a multi-generational family holidaying together. And, finally, completing this impressive ground floor are the essential practicalities of life; a cloakroom/shower room and a laundry room. The first floor is dedicated to two spacious dual aspect bedrooms - one double and one twin - and a third luxury bathroom suite, with both a large walk-in shower and a bath. Outside, glorious landscaped grounds wrap around all sides of the lodge and feature sprawling lawns, mature trees, colourful shrubs, flower beds and dedicated rewilding areas.

Cedar Lodge is a rather special Norfolk hideaway and is sure to prove a popular choice for couples and friends, as well as a family. It is ideally located for access to North Norfolk's coast with its miles of unspoilt coastline and charming villages, as well as the many inland attractions it has to offer, to name Holt, Sheringham Park, Felbrigg Hall and Blickling Hall as just a few. From the lodge you can stretch your legs and pop around the corner into Kelling Heath, with its woodland trails, and heath land pathways that stretch all the way to the coastal village of Weybourne and its Station where you can catch the steam train to Sheringham or Holt.
