About this property
Brand new barn conversion. Perfect location for North Norfolk Coast.
Myrtle's Barn is a new conversion of a red brick barn. Old on the outside with a modern, open plan feel on the inside. Beautiful private garden with stunning views over the open Norfolk countryside.
MYRTLE'S BARN IS AVAILABLE OUT OF SEASON AT A DISCOUNTED PRICE FOR TWO BEDROOMS ONLY. PLEASE CONTACT VICTORIA FOR DETAILS.
Myrtle’s Barn (named after Edward’s grandmother) is located at the former farm in Briningham, just off the B1110 (Dereham to Holt road) and looks across the valley over fields and more fields. The barn sleeps six in three bedrooms, all ensuite. The Master Bedroom is upstairs. The room is dominated by floor to ceiling glass windows opening out to the garden. It has a kingsize bed and a large ensuite bathroom with shower and bath. The Second Bedroom is also upstairs and is a large room with high ceilings. It has a Super King bed which can be split into two single beds. There is an ensuite shower room. The Third Bedroom is downstairs in the new extension. It has an ensuite shower room with a tiled floor. Like the Master Bedroom it enjoys plenty of natural light from the floor to ceiling glass. (Blackout blinds are installed on these windows and doors to aid that all important holiday lie in!) This bedroom has a Super King bed which can be split into two single beds. All the bedrooms and bathrooms are finished and furnished to a very high standard. All the bedrooms are fully carpeted. Upstairs bathrooms are also carpeted.. Each bedroom has plenty of cupboard storage for clothes and bits and pieces and bedside tables. All the bathrooms have electric towel rails, electric mirrors and shaver and toothbrush sockets. We provide all bed linen, bath towels, hand towels and bath mats. The velux windows all have powered blackout blinds. Entry to Myrtle’s Barn is in the new extension into a hall, off which is a downstairs toilet. There is plenty of room for coats, hats and boots in the hall, as well as a large cupboard housing the washing machine/tumble dryer etc. The hall leads into the kitchen which is partly open to the main living area. The kitchen is very modern in design. As with The Pig House – the kitchen has been designed by a local kitchen company (Arcadia) and the kitchen has been manufactured by Siematic in Germany. There is a large breakfast bar (three stools from Quadrtropi) with a Bora integrated hob (as in The Pig House). There is plenty of cupboard and drawer space. The kitchen has a bottle fridge, huge Bosch fridge freezer, Bosch integrated double oven and microwave and integrated dishwasher and a washing machine/tumble dryer. All of the kitchens in our properties are very well equipped with good quality cooking equipment. I used to be a professional cook – so think that self-catering holiday homes should have good cooking equipment and all that is necessary to make a great meal with! The open plan living area is dominated by the enormously high ceiling with four striking pendant lights… suspended from quite a height! The glass sided oak stair case heads upwards to a glass sided bridge which links the two upstairs bedrooms. The dining table sits below this bridge and comes from Neptune. It is 245cm long and will generously seat 6 people and happily sit quite a few more! Adjacent to the dining area is the living area, slightly separated by two oak posts which help to support the upper floor. The living area has two large three seater sofas and a single chair. There is a 50” television and a woodburner to help create that cosy feeling in the winter. (Wood is provided during the winter). Outside Myrtle’s Barn there is a large fenced garden and a large patio area, positioned carefully to make the most of the afternoon and evening sun, with Bramblecrest outdoor dining furniture. There is ample off road parking, an EV charging point and car port. Myrtle’s Barn is a perfect base for a family of up to six to come and stay. Myrtles Barn is located next to Harold’s Barn which also sleeps six. Taken together the two barns offer two family groups an excellent base from which to holiday together whilst having the privacy of their own property. Out of season guests may choose to have one bedroom locked and receive a discounted price. Please contact Victoria for details. The barn is equally perfect for three couples (all super king beds, all ensuite) to get away for a week or weekend break. We are surrounded by gastropubs and other great places to eat, all within easy driving distance. Briningham is ideally located for exploring Norfolk – especially the North Norfolk coastline – Blakeney, Cromer, Sheringham, Wells-Next-to-Sea, Holkham and equally well positioned for inland attractions such as Roar!!! (Dinosaur Adventure Park), Bewilderwood, Pensthorpe Natural Park as well as Norwich for city centre shopping and of course Holt (just up the road) for a more boutique shopping experience.

Everything about this property is excellent. It is very equipped and was spacious with a good sized garden to sit in. The fridge and freezer were a good size and there was plenty of cupboard space to put in our own food. We had a wonderful holiday and would love to return.
Amazing property, very well equipped, great location for exploring Norfolk and in a really peaceful area. Myrtles Barn has all the ingredients to help make a fabulous holiday.
Great communication with property owner. Superb property in a good location for visiting different places. Barn was well equipped & extremely comfortable with amazing showers! Great views over the fields & great places to eat & drink locally. Can’t wait to return….5⭐️Property.
This is a beautiful property and great care has been taken in the design and planning for guests. It is a super place to stay. The quality is exceptional, the space is so generous, and there is everything you could need for a stay. The 3 separate bedrooms with on-suite facilities were perfect for our family group of 3 adult couples.
We really enjoyed our stay in Myrtle's Barn and feel lucky to have had such an excellent accommodation offer. Thanks for all that the management and housekeeping team have done to make this so special.

I am so glad you enjoyed your stay and hope that we may be able to welcome you back another time at Myrtle or at one of our other properties.
We stayed Friday to Monday and Myrtle's Barn provided an excellent base for exploring the area. Unfortunately, the weather was poor but the accommodation was everything we could have wanted, exceptionally well-equipped and very comfortable. Communication with the owner was good, with detailed instructions on how to find the property and even a brief visit soon after our arrival to make sure everything was to our satisfaction. Our experience of VRBO was very positive and I have no hesitation in recommending Myrtle's Barn.
We have stayed at Myrtle's barn in both summer and winter and enjoyed both seasons. The barn is luxurious, with everything you could want. Victoria is an attentive and generous host, answering any queries very promptly.
It is a great base for the north Norfolk coast with great places to eat and visit. My family were very impressed. I'm sure we will be back again!
Beautifully well designed and equipped for a break
Victoria was the consummate professional host - lots of guidance before we arrived and clear instructions on what we needed to do on departure.
The barn was very clean and comfortable and perfect for our cocker spaniel with a safe and enclosed house and garden. The history of the property and her list of suggestions for the area was invaluable and we had a fabulous week. Thank you for sharing everything! We will be back soon!

Beautiful barn, perfect location.
Very well presented with quality furniture and fittings. Kitchen was a delight to cook in. The beds and bedding were extremely comfortable. Nothing was overlooked - we liked the extra touches such as bottle lights. Enjoyed sitting in the garden with a cup of tea to catch the last rays of sunshine. Lovely welcome pack including homemade lemon drizzle cake & marmalade. Communication with our host was excellent. We can’t praise it highly enough. We’d love to visit again.

Mark - thank you so much for leaving Myrtle spotless. I’m so glad you enjoyed your stay and we would very happily welcome you and your family back to any of our properties.
Ultra clean, modern interior with great quality bed linen and towels. An excess of cutlery and crockery so that entertaining a family of 6 is made easy. Fully recommended for a family bonding experience; loads on national trend locations near along with beaches and vibrant local villages and towns.
We had a fantastic stay at Myrtle Barn. It’s well equipped and beautifully decorated. It’s well situated for exploring beautiful North Norfolk, we highly recommend Myrtle Barn.

Why they chose this property
This is our last development on the farm at Briningham. The former red brick barn offers amazing views over the open Norfolk countryside and whilst old on the outside has been developed with a modern open plan feel on the inside - perfect for holidays and spending time together.
