Lovely stay but could have been better
The Good Stuff
It looks like the owners are starting to redecorate some of the rooms. The master bedroom was lovely and a lot better than the online pictures. Kitchen was well equipped. The villa view is amazing and watching the sun rise in the morning was lovely.
The pool heating clearly works and the pool was warm every day, even in October.
The location is remote, but close enough that town is only 10 minute drive.
All main areas and rooms have aircon.
The Bad Stuff
First impressions weren't great as we arrived to all the shutters down, the pool cover still on & maintenance was still being carried out. The floors hadn't been cleaned sufficiently with our socks quickly going black walking on the floors. Bathrooms still had previous tenant hand marks on the drawers. Outside, again it looked like the tiles hadn't been cleaned. There are old mats that look grotty and well overdue replacement. There are broken tiles lying about and the sun loungers are looking sad.
The worst part however was the sewer/drain smell. This was present in 2 of the bathrooms and outside close to drain locations. The management company did come out to try and sort this and whilst it was better, it was still very much present which wasn't pleasant.
Overall it is a lovely villa, and we did enjoy our stay, but it wasn't without it's problems.
