Rest-a-Shore is a modern home that is located right on Sombrero Beach Road and a short bike ride along the beautifully paved and lighted road will take you to Sombrero Beach. This hidden gem is not only a beautiful beach it also has volleyball courts, gazebos, a playground, a fishing pier, restroom facilities, and hundreds of yards of white sand beaches. This home is also located on the Ocean side of Marathon and a short 2-3 minute ride to open water.

This vacation home has a total of 3 Bedrooms and 3 Bathrooms. The main level of the home is complete with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The Primary Bedroom has a King Bed, a Full Bathroom with a Spa Tub, His and Her Sinks, and PGT Sliding Glass Doors leading out to the Lanai. The guest room has a Queen Bed and Smart TV. The second bathroom is located just down the hall from both the Master and Guest Bedrooms as well as the rest of the house. Just inside the front door behind a pair of French closet doors is a High-Efficiency Washer and Dryer! The living room is furnished with Norwegian Stressless Furniture and a 75" Smart TV with surround sound.

The updated kitchen has Cambrian Quartz countertops and an Island, a brand-new New Stainless Steel GE Stove, a Microwave, a Dishwasher, and Wine Cooler, and a KitchenAid Double Door Refrigerator. Along with the modern updated interior, the outside of the home gives you the Florida Keys feel you are looking for! There is a heated pool (maybe subject to an additional fee) inside a screened-in lanai with a shaded sitting area. Inside the lanai, a set of stairs leads the balcony off the master bedroom, as well as the dining room and the rest of the living quarters.

The balcony provides a beautiful view of the canal and open water behind it, as well as providing shade for the patio below.  The patio below leads to the mother-in-law suite which is completely detached from the upstairs unit for some extra privacy (no indoor stairs). The separate downstairs suite features 1 King-size bed, a full-size sofa bed, 1 full bathroom, and a kitchenette.

The guest comments regarding seaweed in the backyard have been taken into consideration and the owners of this home along with the neighbors that live by this canal have all come together to resolve this issue.  Although excessive seaweed is a natural phenomenon that is occurring throughout the Florida coast, we are looking for a way to correct this issue but, it is a nature issue that comes along with oceanfront properties. The seagrass comes and goes with the wind changes.
