Rented the property for 21 days February/March 2024. The property met the basic and minimal requirements for the stay. The pool spa area was very disappointing and not very accommodating. The yard was very disheveled, and we finally had to call to ask about having the weeds mowed. It would have been nice to have instructions on how to use the television and appliances as well as information about the area for nonresidents. (Emergency/medical services) There were no screens on the doors so ended up having to prop them open to get fresh air. The steps were very treacherous, trying to get our items inside as there was no porch & door could not be propped open.
We stayed here for the month of February-2023. We booked this place in October of 2022. Right out of the gate, the property owner was communicative. Check in was a piece of cake. The property is in a gated community with the entry being staffed 24/7. If you look at Google maps, you will see an empty lot. The property itself is a single wide trailer on a lot that is about a quarter acre. The backyard is mostly fenced in along the back and sides. The front yard consists of gravel, while the backyard has some semblance of weeds and grass. There is a junky1980's conversion van in the secondary driveway out front with a window broken out. When we arrived, the weather wasn't the best so we stayed inside and watched some TV. The TV had a loud hum. The owners immediately responded to a message and replaced the TV. Later, they swapped out the TV again with a larger TV. Within the first few days, we realized that the refrigerator didn't work as well as it should. Again, the owners immediately replied and repaired the fridge. The home itself was nice. Two bedrooms at opposite ends of the home. Each with a queen bed. The "master" has a bathroom and sort of walk in closet. Plenty of space to store our stuff for a month. The bed was pretty hard. The place had two full size bathrooms, each with tub/shower. The kitchen had just about everything you needed. If there is something you need, HEB is just minutes up the road and they have lots of low priced kitchen items. The back yard had sort of a patio area and a picnic table along with a charcoal grill. There is also a big tree in the backyard to give you some shade. The back door is hard to close and latch. I tried to fix it, but didn't have much luck. The road out front is the main road in and out for most of the 1200 homes in this development so it can be quite busy at times. There are two pools and a hot tub just a few minutes walk away. One of the pools is heated, the other pool is not. The hot tub is also not heated. Bummer. No swimming on Monday's since that is chemical day. One day, the heated pool was about 105 degrees! It was too hot to swim in. The overall location of this property isn't bad. But you will need to drive to get to most places. Go to Junkyard (Cabreras). El Vaquaro and Nueve Progresso. It's very windy in Southern Texas. There are a lot of places to go within a 20-25 minute drive.
