Newly renovated 1 bedroom cottage near Bettyhill - NC500 + Fibre WiFi

Newly renovated in July 2023.
Entire 1 bedroom bungalow just 1/2 mile off the NC500 and 4 miles from Bettyhill with fibre wifi and smart TV.

Very comfortable and clean with views of the hill and small loch. Short drive to shop, bar / restaurant and beach.

Well equipped kitchen including dishwasher and washer / dryer.

Plenty of hot water for showers.

Electric woodburner and electric heaters if required.

Great location as a base to explore by car, motorbike, bicycle or foot.

The space
BEDS - We provide hotel quality Egyptian cotton bedding and towels for 2 guests in the king bed.

CHILDREN - This property is not suitable for children.

FOOD & DRINK - We provide tea and coffee making materials including fresh milk and sugar. We do not provide breakfast however we send you the contact details for all the shops and restaurants in the area as soon as your booking is confirmed.

WIFI & MOBILES - WiFi is available in the property but we cannot guarantee that it will work or at what speed! Mobile reception is patchy (depending on your network provider). There is a smart TV in the property.

ACCESSIBILITY - The property is all on 1 level accept for 3 outdoor steps (please see photos) so might be convenient for guests with limited mobility but not for wheelchairs.

PETS - The property is pet friendly with securely fenced garden and off road parking but please let us know if you are bringing animals so we can do additional cleaning for the next guests..
Guest access
Guests have access to the entire property and fenced garden.

Vehicles can be parked either inside the garden fence at the rear of the property or on the grassed area just outside the gate - so unpacking is easy! Please be aware this can become muddy.

Please do not park campervans or motor homes outside the property since the ground is quite boggy and will not take the weight. If you are concerned about your vehicle please contact us in advance and we will make arrangements where you can best park.
Other things to note
This is a very quiet and peaceful property on a remote road with very little traffic.

This is a great property to take a rest from camping or hostels and get a good nights sleep and get your clothes washed and dried.

Well behaved dogs are very welcome - we even provide a treat tin for them!

Dog poop bags are also available so please clean up after your dog in the garden area. Please do not let animals on any of the furniture. We do not charge an additional cleaning fee for pets however we will charge if additional cleaning is required after your stay.

The weather can make the parking / driveway muddy.

Kyle of Tongue Cottages is a family business run by us, Barry and Emily Allsop.

We manage a small number of unique self-catering properties in the Kyle of Tongue area (on the far north coast of Scotland on the route of the NC500).

We work really hard to ensure that all our guests have as great a stay as possible and are always delighted when guests leave a lovely review about the services we have provided.

When we are not looking after our Kyle of Tongue Cottages guests, we run a small croft (smallholding) with rare breed sheep, pigs and hens. We also sell eggs, pork and lamb and wool.

Why they chose this property

This is a lovely old fashioned but recently renovated bungalow with all you need for a relaxing stay. It is off the beaten track but close to the NC500 with access to local hotel restaurants and shops.
