As its name suggests, it is set down the lane to the local church and has wonderful south-facing sunny views towards the fields and hills beyond. There is a cosy open fire in the living room with deep windowsills and a wooden floor. Perfect for family or friends, there is peace and quiet, but also a plethora of things to do in the local area. The market town of Coupar Angus is ¾ mile and within walking distance if you fancy a drink or a bite to eat at the local inn.

The area is perfect for walkers and cyclists, as there are plenty of waymarked paths through arable countryside of the Vale of Strathmore through Meigle, Ardler and Coupar Angus to the more challenging glens beyond Blairgowrie. Renowned for its soft fruit, there are plenty of good cafés and restaurants nearby showcasing local produce and a good range of shops locally and further afield in Dundee and Perth. Glamis Castle, the childhood home of H.M. Queen Elizabeth II, and the Pictish Stone Museum, are well worth a visit, and the cottage is within half an hour of the Cairngorms National Park. The ski slopes at Glenshee are a short drive and Pitlochry is within easy reach. Golfers have plenty of courses to choose from including Rosemount and Carnoustie, or explore the clean sandy beaches strung out along the east coast.
