The excellent seaside village of Mundesley is 3 miles, having a wonderful sandy beach and village centre with cafés, shops and pubs, and 20 minutes’ drive inland leads to the beautiful Norfolk Broads National Park. This really is a great choice for those who want to experience all that this region has to offer.
Peacefully located in the village of Trunch, the cottage is a short walk from the village pub serving food, and there are great opportunities for walking and cycling direct from doorstep. Visit the traditional seaside town of Cromer; explore the famous pier and Edwardian seafront, enjoy a spot of lunch in one of the many independent cafés or head to Amazonia Zoo. At Wroxham, known as the capital of the Norfolk Broads, you can join a tour or even charter your own boat and explore the miles of wonderful waterways. The village has a supermarket, shops, cafés, pubs, mainline train station, model village, fitness centre and is home to the Bure Valley Railway. Families can head to BeWILDerwood at Horning, Roar Dinosaur Park or Wroxham Barns. Jump on the Bure Valley Railway, miniature gauge steam train, travelling back and forth between Wroxham and the market town of Aylsham, where you can jump on and off at the riverside villages of Coltishall and Buxton.
The bustling market town of North Walsham, 9 minutes’ drive, has shops, supermarket, cafés and restaurants. A must for shopping enthusiasts is the city of Norwich, with two indoor shopping centres, High Street boutiques, market square, theatre, cathedral, castle museum and plenty of cafés, pubs and restaurants.
