If you like to learn about the history of a place, then the Isle of Wight has pre-historic monuments, Roman villas and military history a-plenty! There are a range of beautiful historic houses and gardens open to the public too. Don’t forget the Botanic Gardens with their own micro-climate nearby in Ventnor!
