Crannog Lodge is a beautiful, original forestry wood cabin full of character and charm and provides a true log cabin experience. It is situated on its own 1/2 acre plot in a peaceful woodland setting by the shore of Loch Awe with a Scandinavian wood fired hot tub situated on the huge balcony. This is a fabulous log cabin with amazing views out over the loch. Kick back and relax in this calm, stylish space. Perfect or Family setting ... an ideal getaway from the city to be surrounded by nature.

Glorious getaway !

This is a fabulous cabin with a beautiful tranquil view over Loch Awe. Lovely and quiet.The ducks and geese were very entertaining! Hot tub is a great experience, takes a wee bit of tweaking to get the fire right if you are a total novice like me. Instructions given are very good. Loved the barbeque hut with its 'viking' feel. Would definitely rent this cabin again. Thank you !

Gillian and I fell in love with Loch Awe and sneak away from the city whenever we can just to soak up the highlands, enjoy the walks and watch the sun go down from the hot tub over looking the Loch.
Our other city getaway is a cosy cottage in Dewlish, Dorset. Gillian loves to feed the wood burning stove and enjoy a glass of red wine ... especially when it cold and raining on a winter's night.
Both places we feel at home in and invite you to come and enjoy a few days in the most amazing countryside in either Scotland or Dorset.

Why they chose this property

We just fell in love with this remote and beautiful location and were so lucky to get a wood cabin right on the waterfront with its own private shore line. We love to watch the water as the sun goes down while sitting in the private hot tub and relax.
