Wonderful view of Matterhorn

We loved our stay at Elena's property in Zermatt. The apartment was spacious and very comfortable, and had a beautiful view of the Matterhorn which we enjoyed immensely - attached are a few photos taken from the balcony. AMAZING VIEW! Located perfectly in the middle of town and yet quiet neighborhood. Cozy apartment with everything you need to make it a home away from home. The host is very informative and helpful. We arrived in a clean appartment, good communication, the spot (for us the most important thing) is perfect near the sunegga. Fantastic view of the Matterhorn. Beds were also good for us and the kids in te livingroom. The space is not that big, small kitchen, but everything fits.

Zermatt Visit

We visited Zermatt for a week and stayed in this amazing apartment. The apartment has an amazing view of the Matterhorn. Great location, near to the ski lift and the village downtown. The apartment was clean and very comfortable. I recommend this place to a couple or small family.

Father/daughter ski trip

We had a fantastic stay in your apartment. It's well located near the Sonnega lift and Gornergrat train, is super quiet and the view of the Matterhorn is the icing on the cake. The kitchen is small but fully stocked - we never lacked a thing. Elena gave excellent suggestions, such as the Matterhorn museum. If we had more time indoors, we surely would have taken advantage of numerous games and movies available in the apartment, but there was just too much to see and do.

Perfect stay in Zermatt

Family of 3 for 2 nights in Zermatt, what an amazing place and an ideal location! Elena was a wonderful host with excellent communication leading up to and throughout our stay. The airline lost our bags and Elena was helpful as we scrambled to buy clothes and other neccessities in Zermatt. The apartment is about a 10 minute walk from the train station and while there are some stairs in the building, it's a relatively easy walk. We had perfect weather on our first day and wow, what a view of the Matterhorn from the balcony!

The listing is as described. It is a very clean and beautiful unit. The only thing I would like to mention is the curtains are not very lightproof and you may want to get an eye mask if you don’t want to wake up at sunrise.

Perfect location

The apartment was ideal for our week's holiday and well equipped. The host had clearly taken care to make sure guests are made to feel welcome.The views across the village from the balcony to the Matterhorn are stunning. It's just a short walk to all the amenities in the village and very easy to get to the Sunnega funicular and the Gornergrat railway. All communications with the host were good and helpful and it was lovely to have some wine, pasta and chocolate to make our first evening comfortable. Would definitely recommend.

Perfect apartment in Zermatt

We stayed for 2 weeks in July in this wonderful apartment with a fantastic Matterhorn view. We felt as we lived there just as full-time residents. The place was very comfortable for the two of us, close to the center, train station, grocery stores, access to the mountains. We were happy to be able to prepare food in addition to eating out. Elena was such a pleasure to communicate with. She cared very much that we had everything we needed. Thank you very much Elena, we hope to stay there again!

Perfect spot to enjoy Zermatt!

The apartment was more than we could have expected! In Zermatt it is ALL about the Matterhorn - when you open the curtains in the morning, the mountain is before you in all its glory! Sitting on the balcony with a glass of wine makes the day complete. Elena has furnished it with care. The decor is clean, crisp and bright. She has provided every amenity and an explanation for how to operate everything. Her welcome basket with a few essentials was so kind, making our first night easy. You cannot go wrong in booking this delightful home away from home!

Very nice, confortable, and well equipped flat in Zermatt

We spent almost two weeks in this amazing flat, with a wonderful view over the Matterhorn. The flat is well equipped, there is everything one needs (and even more!) and well located, only 5 minutes walk from the center where are all the restaurants, shops, etc., but still in a very quiet area. Elena is a great host, she made sure we had everything we needed and provided useful information on the activities that we could do, on the restaurants and all the other nice things in Zermatt. Elena is very responsive and helpful, the communication was very smooth. All in all, this was one of our best vacations and we definitely plan to come back in this flat both in summer and winter!

Cozy nest in Zermatt

Two women spent one marvelous week in Zermatt and truly enjoyed Roc Haus Zermatt as our base for exploration. The apartment was easy to find, and check-in was smooth thanks to the details Elena provided prior to our arrival. We greatly appreciated the luscious welcome basket, as well as suggestions for dining and summer activities in the area. My daughter now has a lifetime memory after paragliding with Fly Zermatt (Alpine Adventures),… thank you, Chris! There was a mixture of sunshine and slightly damp weather during our week’s visit, yet the Matterhorn never ceased to amaze with it’s majesty every hour of the day. One cannot tire of the view that is accurately depicted on the rental site, and it's even better in person. Besides hiking, shopping, and dining, we were able to really relax and enjoy cooking and eating “in” as well as read quietly, sun on the deck, and play board games at night time. The efficient kitchen and pantry were well-equipped,and the alpine decor and linens were a joy to come “home” to. One night we indulged in a tapas tasting seated on the lovely outdoor patio at the Cervo, sampling local wines from the valley, and another day tasted their delicious french fries in truffle oil. Don’t miss hiking up to Zum See north of town….the views, and their barley soup, were memorable! We also dined at the Brown Cow and Guiseppe’s (a mushroom salad that was out of this world). Zermatt was a lovely town. The people were friendly, the views were astounding, and with Roc Haus as our nest we felt like we were at home, though on vacation, each and every day.

Why they chose this property

I discovered Zermatt in 1978 thanks to my grand-mother. I never stop to come back and to bring many friends. I finally decided to purchase an apartment in Zermatt to be able to share my passion for this wonderful place with guests from all over the world. And I will share my best addresses with great pleasure! There are so many things to do in Zermatt.

What makes this property unique

I took us serveral years to find the right apartment. We wanted an unobstructed view of the Cervin from the bedroom and the living room, a great balcony so we could be comfortable and a central location while being peaceful, with no sound from the electric karts and other acoustic disturbances. We also wanted to be close to the Sunnegga Express, which is the fastest way to get to the ski runs without having to stand in line. Finally, we wanted to be less than 10 min walk from everything (train station, supermarkets, and shops). This apartment has everything on our wish list and on top of it, it is close from 3 of my favourite restaurants that I will certainly mention to you!! You will be in a quiet environment while being close to everything and with a breathtaking view. In the apartment, everything is brand new and everything is about comfort!
